Prompts: For Yuka/Leonid: honestly, anything that gives these two more interactions. Leonid is such a mysterious man that could have set Yuka on a path that would have forever changed her life. He has all the answers while she has all the questions; yet his answers are always just riddles. How much is Yuka willing to give to get those answers straight?
For Jax|Yuka, this is one of the most twisted but beautiful love stories I’ve come across. Not only is LGTBQ, Jax is very tom-boyish and not in your cliché way, but it also touches on mental health. I would love any story that has to do with these two and explores their relationship/what they stand for. Jax is also Yuka’s guardian but what if helping them is forcing them to see reality and who Jax truly is? What if Jax has to be ‘the bad guy’ in order for Yuka to finally seek help? But what if instead of seeking help her mental health just deteriorates even more?
For Mercury/Yuka, these two together would be very dangerous. Yuka is very impressionable because she just wants to be loved. She just wants to be somebody. While Mercury is the type to see someone’s weakness and use it to further himself. I would love to see any story done where he is tempting or using some sort of mind game to get Yuka to his side, seduce her and then do whatever he wants whether that is discarding her or actually letting his walls down for once.
When it comes to Nightbane I just want to see more of him and would find it interesting if Yuka was involved.

I love, love the enemies-to-lovers trope thing going on with John and Sian. His blunt sassiness is great and the banter between the two of them instantly made him a favorite of mine. I really enjoyed the scene where Sian goes to sleep on the couch after a long day and he's already on it.
I really wish there was a romance route with Lloyd. I love his almost childlike personality mixed in with the maturity of being an adult. The way he is excited about everything and just unapologetically passionate even when he can tell it's getting on other's nerves. Yet, he's also sweet to those he cares about.
As you can tell I really enjoy the characters in this game and I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever type of story you come up with!

I'd love to see a bit further an exploration into Gaz and Soap's relationship since there's not much in canon, or a bit more emphasis on Gaz and Nikolai's bond after MW19 because I'm convinced they get drunk and talk so much shit together and Price is sick of them both. I'd also like to see a little exploration of Gaz and Ghost being friends!

I adore their dynamic of mutual trust and appreciation and how Gaz isn't afraid to talk back or tell Price his opinions. I like the idea that Price isn't great at expressing his feelings because, duh, but he tries for Gaz. I love love love trans Gaz and headcanons where he has anxiety, and I love when their mutual trauma/PTSD is addressed. I really enjoy when the rest of the 141/their allies (particularly Kate and Nikolai) are good friends and wingmen, especially if they're just making fun of each other the entire time.

Any way you can think to get them together is a-okay with me. I prefer something Gaz-centric but I'm not opposed to any perspective or 'central' character. I'm slightly partial to Gaz confessing first because Price doesn't want to take advantage of their power imbalance, but Price confessing first is also great. Maybe an injury during a mission that scares the hell out of them and prompts a confession? Or in MW2 2022 after Gaz falls out of the chopper. Or a mission fic that leads to real feelings being admitted and a relationship forming. Light angst and insecurity is more than appreciated, but please try to avoid these insecurities being the butt of/made worse by jokes or comments by another character.

Karl and Ethan honestly can be as weird and violent as you want. I love weird-but-good dads but I also love if they're just mutually toxic idiots who can't decide if they want to fuck or fight. Have them hate fuck during RE8 or get together afterwards, anything you can think of to get from enemies to lovers. Honestly I just adore Kuai Liang and Tomas’s relationship in MK1. I'd love anything just focused on them being good, loving brothers, especially if Tomas’s insecurities and trauma come up and Kuai Liang comforting and reassuring him. I love platonic intimacy and verbal affection too, so hugs/I love yous are also welcome.

As far as Bi-Han/Kuai Liang goes, you can really play up the toxicity. I love the kind of relationship where they make each other miserable but they can't let each other go. I'd prefer post-MK1 2023 but anything is cool, really. If their relationship occurs concurrently with Kuai Liang’s relationship with Harumi I'd like her to be aware and supportive despite the weirdness (no infidelity please). I really adore complicated relationships and Sejanus caring deeply for Coriolanus who can't decide if he hates him or not (he doesn't) makes me :3. I know Lucy Gray and Sejanus interact very little but the idea of them slowly bonding and developing at the very least a physical interest in each other because of their mutual affection for Coriolanus is very endearing to me. I also really love trans male Sejanus, and I love love love when he's the focus of the fic/relationship.

For just snowjanus I love an in-denial Coriolanus just refusing to acknowledge his feelings until someone else tries to swoop in and steal Sejanus away (maybe another peacekeeper? someone in District 12?). I also like the concept of a groundhog day type scenario where Coriolanus is stuck reliving the week of Sejanus's death over and over until he fixes it. Vergil/Dante is my heart and soul, and I love their inability to hate each other no matter what they go through. Dante following Vergil into hell at the end of DMC5 remains the owner of my whole heart. I think their dynamic before Nakia came to save Shuri was really compelling and I'm a sucker for "I shouldn't love you but I do", especially when the reason for not being in love is as big as parental death. I adore protective Nakia and sassy but supportive M'Baku, but if you can please avoid any kind of drama where they or Okoye are lecturing Shuri about her relationship with/feelings for Namor or relationship dynamics where Shuri is treated as a child or too naive/immature to understand the consequences of her actions and needs their help.

I adore Bakugou and Kaminari as besties. I love how supportive Kaminari is in canon and how despite his prickliness Bakugou actively seeks out his company at times and let's him get away with things he doesn't anyone else. Anything just focused on them being silly goofy buddies despite Bakugou not wanting to admit it would make me so happy, especially if Bakugou does end up admitting it. Kaminari being a good wingman to Bakugou's utter failure to ask Deku out would be spectacular. Any year as students or adults as pro heroes welcome. Can be canon-compliant or not, I'm completely caught up on the manga.

Iida and Uraraka I think just have the sweetest relationship with a lot of potential to get even closer. I'd love to see how they get together as students, or a slice of life when they're older and pro heroes. I love when their friends are included as supportive wingmen, and I'm really fond of Deku and Uraraka having a close friendship where they talk about crushes together. Any year as students welcome! Same as above, it can be canon-compliant or not since I'm completely caught up on the manga.

I love the working and personal relationship between Nikolai and Zoya. They complement each other well; he's charisma and social relationship management while she's ruthless and power. Despite her impatience, she's patient with him, and Nikolai sees Zoya for who she is and not just a beautiful face. They're also a great narrative on immortality vs mortality.
I'd love to see something set pre-King of Scars, see the events of the obisbaya have further ramifications than what we saw in Rule of Wolves, and even dive into the politics of Ravka. What if the obisbaya isn't as easy as it was in KoS? What happens on Nikolai and Zoya's travels back to Ravka post-the events in KoS? What's Os Alta like before Zoya's coronation? Give me King Nikolai and Queen Zoya or King Nikolai and Commander Zoya. Does Nikolai struggle with not being King anymore? Does he love being Sturmhond and thus King of the Sea? Does Zoya gain confidence in her abilities to lead a nation? What's their future like?
Zoya and Juris' relationship is one I really appreciated in the series, as I felt he was one of the only characters who could put Zoya in her place and not be overpowered by her personality. What if their time together lasted longer? What is it like living with Juris' memories?
I really wish we got more on both Juris and Elizaveta. The Saints in this series were fascinating, and I like how they promised this possibility that the Saints could be bitter for how they've been treated when all they did was help their community. I love Elizaveta stinging very much like a bee; she's a flower who lures you in and ultimately fucks you up. And Juris really fits the bill of that grumpy old man who was once a warrior and highly regarded and lost his spark and way.
I found the relationship between Elizaveta and the Darkling to possess a lot of potential. Was Elizaveta another one of the Darkling's victims, or was she someone who could see through his bullshit and used him for more power? Was the Darkling conscious of what Elizaveta was plotting? What made her want to resurrect him? What if they ended up trapped together in the thorn wood post-RoW? I'd love to see the power dynamic between these two big personalities, and even see if the Darkling can be stung by a bee.

I like the idea of Finnick exasperating and overwhelming Katniss by flirting with her (I feel like she's someone who doesn't see herself as attractive or an object of any sort of genuine affection, especially after the role she had to play in the Games). How do these two come together after everything?
I really do love arena things and how it shows what people are willing to do to survive, so feel free to give me something set in an arena.

I'm happy for you to set it pre, during, or post-the books. I didn't mind the open ending of Crooked Kingdom, and liked, in particular, Inej leaving Ketterdam to pursue her own freedom and create her own tale after living as the Lynx for so long. Her choosing herself over staying for someone else was perfect, and I like that Kaz is mature enough to know that Inej wasn't rejecting him but everything Ketterdam (his baby!) was for her. I love Pirate!Inej. I love Barrel Boss!Kaz. Do they write? Does he keep tabs on her? Does she come back? (I love the idea of her always coming back, even finding excuses to do so.) Does he house her refugees? How do they work together as Dirtyhands and The Wraith and how do they come together as Kaz and Inej? I love explorations of their sexualities and relationships with touch and intimacy, and love explorations that also include them trying to find safety in one another resulting in panic attacks, etc.
I'm happy for you to keep Matthias alive or find a way to bring him back! I've read King of Scars, so if you're familiar with Nina's arc in that book, I'm happy for some dabbling into that period of her life wrt Matthias and possibly bring him back. Does the Corpsewitch bring him back as a zombie? Can she bring him back? As a Heartrender, she could take life away and also keep it going, so what's so different with the Corpsewitch? Does Matthias' ghost haunt her? If you wanted to explore pre-Crooked Kingdom, how many days did they spend in the whale huts? I love explorations of survival in wild settings like Fjerda's ice land, so were there other opportunities for them to warm each other up? Did Nina give Matthias a tour of Ketterdam?
This series had the potential to go darker than it did. Feel free to explore darker themes and their traumas in depth.

I love this series and the way it wove mythology into its world.
I'd love to see missing scenes and these characters thrown into other mythological tales. What's Vasilisa's life like at Baba Yaga's lake? How does Morozko cope with his mortality? What happens when Morozko is offered the opportunity to be mortal? Would Vasya ever choose to be immortal so she can be with Morozko again?
The Bear was such a chaotic presence, and what I really appreciated about him was how he seemed stumped by Vasya a lot of the time. I'd love to see her constantly challenge him by being herself, and possibly be with him during summer while Morozko isn't able to be as present as he'd like because it's not his time (think Hades and Persephone).
I'd love to see more of Vasya and Solovey. What's their next adventure? Does Solovey remember being dead? How does he cope in the aftermath of his resurrection?

I love Barry and Iris. I love their friendship and their relationship, how they are each other's biggest supporter, and how they never, ever try and tear the other down.
I'd love to see anything: early years, later years, them trying to work through the fact that Barry is destined to disappear on April 25 2024. What happens when another Barry from another time is stuck in the past? How do Barry and Iris cope with the constant push and pull of villains appearing in Central City disrupting their lives? I'd love to see Iris be a reporter—something I feel the show failed in exploring until the last few seasons. Who are Barry and Iris on another Earth? (Let's forget Earth-Prime happened.) Give me Barry-as-Savitar. Give me a more comics accurate Thawne wanting to kill Iris because he can't be Barry. Give me Barry struggling trying to be himself while being the Flash and trying not to be the Flash around Iris (I felt when they started dating in season 3 that they had it backwards wrt Iris apparently having the issue of Barry being the Flash when I always felt it made more sense for Barry to have the issue of being the Flash with Iris). Even give me early seasons when they're not together—give me jealous, dating other people, them always communicating how they feel but time always resetting. I love Nora as well, and wouldn't mind seeing her if you feel so inclined! (I really love the trope that was presented in 5x01 with child-from-the-future-comes-to-the-past-to-be-with-the-dead-parent, although her season 5 personality left a lot to be desired.)
I usually stick to the earlier seasons because the show was stronger in its writing then, but I wouldn't mind getting something set in the later seasons or post-show. I'm familiar with the comics (love Flashpoint and New 52!) and don't mind references or inspiration to be taken from those.

Season 6 was a breath of fresh air for this show, and I really loved the tope of the child from the future coming back to the past to see the dead parent and possibly save them. Give me more of that! What if Piper wasn't pregnant when she was, and we got a different unfolding of events leading to the big reveal of Chris' identity? How did Chris cope with being around his mother again? How does Piper cope with the idea of dying? How does Chris try and save Piper? What if every time he tries to save Piper, something horrible happens?
Chris/Bianca was a great ship that had a lot of potential and reminded me a lot of Cole/Phoebe and Leo/Piper in terms of how it seemed a bit forbidden. How close are they? How did they fall in love? How did Bianca feel wrt Chris wanting to go back in time to see his mother and save her? Did she feel betrayed or upset that he could potentially wipe their relationship from existence? I'd love to see her coven fleshed out more than what it was and given more depth, and their future world given a little more spice as it had a lot of potential.
I like Piper/Leo despite not selecting them as a relationship and am more than happy for them to be a focus. I'm more interested in Chris and Piper being a main relationship explored if you choose that pairing.

Minako and Metis are intriguing to me because for all that they have completely opposite ways of handling social situations - Minako constantly hiding her emotions vs Metis' inability to hide hers, Minako flitting around between all her friends vs Metis' complete dedication to the one person who matters most - they still end up in the same place of choosing nonexistence in order to protect the people they care about. Plus, I think it's fun when the Persona protagonist is put in a situation where she doesn't really have the ability to talk someone through their problems: Metis tried to kill all of SEES and now they don't trust her, and there's not really anything Minako can do about it (nor does she really want to, I think). I just think they're fun to play off each other! I'm fine with all sorts of explanations for how they both exist at the same time, or ignoring the issue altogether (though I'd rather have the connecting thread of each at least being willing to die at the end of their respective arcs).For the Arisatos, they're so interesting to me as the exact same person with the same trauma that's manifested in entirely opposite ways. I really enjoy takes where they're twins, but I'm also interested in the Persona Q setting where they've never met and still recognize each other instinctively. And what does it mean to meet someone else with a fragment of death in their head? Does that have side effects, whether it's the two of them having to separate in the labyrinths to avoid calling down the Reaper or apparent telepathy by sending Pharos to the other with messages? Anything with how game mechanics work with the two of them would be fantastic, though if you're going to cover the ending, I'd prefer either that they're both the Seal or that neither of them is (maybe they take turns?) rather than having one leave the other behind.
(I went with Arisatos as in the tags, but I'm fine with any name for either protagonist.)

Sebastian and Franziska are entirely the handshake meme about realizing the father you idolized and tried to emulate was a terrible person, and then moving forward with the path you were already on in spite of that. For all that AAI2 is about not having to become your father, I'm interested in the ways that these two feel that it's too late for them, that Franziska is too cold and Sebastian too used to being the center of attention and who would they even be without those traits at this point? (Nevermind that they're both teenagers at the end of the game - everything feels like a big deal when it isn't one the scale of your role model committing multiple murders, I'm inclined to give them the dramatics). Something about the two of them working through those feelings, possibly while investigating a case together, would rule. Or on the other end of the spectrum, two kids who had to grow up too fast trying to muddle through a mundane situation would be very funny to me. Franziska will find this limited edition figure that Maya wanted and meanwhile Sebastian came here with Kay and got lost, and now they have to navigate this superhero convention together.
Speaking of narrative parallels! Lana and Mia are so fascinating to me because they both have the same priorities on paper and then when those ran up against each other they made the opposite decisions: Mia left her sister behind, telling herself it was for Maya's good but also dooming Maya to the village with its expectations that kept tearing siblings apart, because she had to find justice even if it killed her. Lana kept her sister safe and close even when it meant distorting the truth and getting innocent people convicted. Were there seeds of this tension even when they knew each other? Did they ever talk about what it meant that Mia had the village, even with its more treacherous elements, and Lana only ever had her relatives on another continent? Again, the two of them having to deal with these things while solving a murder would be a lot of fun. And again, I would also be delighted if you wanted to have the two of them working a case together as an excuse to flirt, possibly with sweater Phoenix as Mia's resident assistant and weird kid.
I have a lot less to say about Franziska and Edgeworth but that has more to do with the fact that canon gave us so much of them already, and really I want more of that. Life with von Karma, with Franziska stepping in to try to protect Edgeworth from the worst of Manfred's vindictiveness? (I think about her getting the case for Edgeworth in Turnabout Reminiscence every day.) Locking them in a room and forcing them to talk about the events of Investigations 2 and the fact that Edgeworth managing to accumulate so much of a family makes Franziska feel more and more like she's being left behind? Or just putting them in another setting altogether and letting them do their ridiculous stilted form of affection there? Any and all of that would be excellent.

I really enjoy thinking about the world where Seto manages to build Noa a robot body after it all. Some of this is silly - what does Noa think of all the redecorating Seto has done? Does he have to go to school with Mokuba? Some of it is less silly - Seto coming to think of Noa as a little brother after recognizing some of the lingering effects of Gozaburo's parenting, or Mokuba reconciling wanting to trust Noa with still having nightmares where he has to watch as his body deletes his friends. Either way, I want to see how they navigate the ways that their childhoods were all so similar and yet so opposed. More generally, any sort of excuse to put all three of them in a box and shake them would rule.

It's the story of two men struggling with issues of faith and how you can find what you've always been looking for in the strangest of places (and goriest of events). I love their interaction in the movie, but I always wished for more, especially given the ending, where it's made pretty clear that one of them is probably a god that's all primed to be worshiped by the other. Just the looks they give each other at the end - Thomas, knowing and resigned to his fate, while Malcolm has just had an epiphany and it's “oh, if I lost everything that ever mattered to me so I could get Thomas, I'm fairly sure it's going to be worth it.

DNWs: No animal harm, extreme underage, scat/watersports, no focus on unrequested pairings involving nominated characters (mentions of past canon relationships are fine), no permanent nominated character death (character transformation/resurrection is fine).

There's a lot of ways this can go - there's that whole part where the Goddess calls Thomas her child and yeah, it's supposed to be not literal, since it's pretty clear she's never left the island and he's never been there, but what if it wasn't? What if through some sort of magical weird bullshit, Thomas is born from her and either that comes into play when he's “called” home, or he grows up on the island and Malcolm's just desperately trying not to commit blasphemy by fucking the Chosen One. Or maybe, the Goddess died a long time ago and the Island's been slowly falling apart until Thomas shows up and oh, shit, it's the Second Coming (well, something's coming at any rate).

AU - Genre Shift
The historical setting of this movie is absolutely fantastic, but I'd be interested in seeing this set in a different time period. Maybe something way back, during the Roman Conquest of Wales, where Thomas and Malcolm both end up learning that yeah, maybe Tacitus wasn't completely full of shit. Or something far more modern would be great too – nothing better than going to a place where your cell phone really should work, but it doesn't and oh fuck, now the trees are eating me.

Worldbuilding
So there's a lot to work with in the ending – how does the island rebuild its religion now that most of its former devotees have died or fled? Does it evolve over the years and how does do Malcolm and Thomas deal with unwanted intruders? There's also the plot hook of Jennifer and Andrea's escape – do they return to see what became of their family? I['d also love anything where somehow Malcolm benefits from being Thomas's first acolyte (and more) – perhaps the island has its own cycle of renewal and allows them both to live long past their natural lifespan.

Whether you view it as jilted ex-lover or just brokenhearted best friend, it's pretty clear Cosmo's torn between being furious at Martin for his perceived abandonment and his desire to work with him again as partners. There are so many points where his plans would have worked so much better if he had just killed Martin and yet he can't even pull the trigger at the end when he's got him dead to rights. (Okay, yeah, he did tell that guy to kill his friend, but I have to believe he knew Martin would get out of it because he knows him.) I'd really like something set in the present to post-movie part – their backstory is tragic and sets up the conflict well, but I like them as older men, having to deal with perceived betrayals, double crosses, and nebulous plans.

Maybe Martin was the one that ended up in prison and Cosmo's the one on the outside until the government comes knocking at Martin's cell door and says, hey, your ex is doing nefarious things (that aren't for our benefit), so we'll let you out if you work for us. Of course, it all turns out to be a long con on Cosmo's part since you know, he really does miss Marty and he sort of owes it to him to get him out by any means necessary, whether he approves of it or not. Or maybe Martin didn't really get out of the end heist unscathed (Cosmo really did shoot him on the roof) and Cosmo took advantage of that, since it's only fair that if Martin ruin his plans, he might as well ruin Martin's plans.

Canon-Style Plot – Freeform
Canonically, it seems the movie leaves a couple of big plot points dangling at the end - Cosmo's still out there with the Mafia and Martin and the gang are kind of being public with their hacking. What happens when people do the math and Martin has to go on the run from multiple people with Cosmo, who may or may not also be on the run? Are there double crosses, plans within plans, and people making cryptic and grandiose pronouncements to each other? Oh, so many.

Science Fiction
So the movie is already vaguely speculative in its technology – what if we pushed that further? I feel like Sneakers is just the precursor to all those delightful cyberpunk narratives, what with the partner that returns to exact revenge, the team with its varying degrees of complementary skills, even the nebulous piece of technology that really shouldn't fall into anyone's hands because no one can be trusted with its power. Also, if it involves space ships, I wouldn't say no.

So I was hooked on the pairing from episode one, where Hood actually killed a guy just to save Proctor (and he didn't even know him yet). Because nothing says romance to me like death, lying, and trying to give a guy meat to get him on your side. And the rest of season one only confirmed it for me – enemies understanding each other's motivations? Brutal fights that end with people politely inquiring “oh, what did you want from me?” Coming in guns blazing to save someone in the nick of time? Yes, yes, and you had it me at the first shot. Season 2 only kept the frenemy stuff going - Hood and Proctor teaming up in the police station was so very satisfying. And then the ending of season 3 where Hood's quit being Sheriff and he's sitting next to Proctor and Proctor gets that gleam in his eye? Oh, I thought. Surely, Season 4 will explore all the delicious possibilities of that. No. No, they did not.

AU - Canon Divergence
How about an alternate scenario in Season 4 where Hood and Proctor are actually working together, probably to find Job. Hood doesn't get a grief beard, Proctor is scheming, and Burton is sitting there, wondering how it is that his boss keeps on sleeping with the worst people. Or another way? Proctor is the one that gives Hood the cabin instead of Rebecca, because even if you're not using a weapon, it's important that you keep track of it in case you need it. Or even further back, Hood never becomes sheriff (which means open season for whatever name he ends up using), but still ends up in Banshee looking for Ana (and his loot). Proctor, as always, appreciates talented violence where he sees it and Hood's just desperate enough to cut a deal.

AU - Genre Shift
Banshee would definitely fit right into the noir genre – the veteran with questionable skills that seeks to recover what he lost during his time away, only to discover that the world changed around him. Then you have the morally ambiguous underworld figure who alternates between trying to employ him and getting him killed, plus shifting alliances, bodies everywhere, and at some point someone sings a torch song while people make smoldering eye contact with each other. Or how about a Western – Hood as an outlaw who poses as a Sheriff because he's running from the law, only to stumble into a town where everyone's got a secret and a disturbingly good marksmanship.

Hurt/Comfort
Look, if Hood got himself in a position where the only one who could save his life and get him back on his feet was Proctor, I'm not saying that there would be bedside vigils, careful spoon-feeding, and a hand wiping a fevered brow. But I am saying that it would be so very deeply awkward for the two of them in all the best ways and I would adore the banter that would inevitably result from it.

Because I'm a sucker for a guy who was pitched as “what if James Bond became M” except for the whole part where M is still in the field, kicking ass and flying helicopters. I also really love the team once I got to know them and thus, was well prepared to be bummed when they inevitably started killing them off, as this show is wont to do (seriously, I feel like Spooks/MI-5 and this show were in a competition for who could kill off their agents the most).

I'd really love something where the remaining team members stick together. Maybe Novin and Wyatt take Coltrane up on his offer at the end of the show and decide that the only way to keep their boss alive (because the only thing more hazardous than being a Section 20 agent is leading it) and the best way to make sure he's not making stupid decisions is to make one of their own. Or maybe they all go on the run and somewhere along the way, a drunken one night stand turns into a surprisingly fulfilling relationship? And as for Scott/Stonebridge, I'm just picturing something where Coltrane recruits them back into Section 20 since he's down a number of people and it goes better than you'd expect, even with all the property damage and casual theft.

Action/Adventure, Canon-Style Plot – Freeform
Sadly on the show, Coltrane just missed getting introduced to Scott and Stonebridge and their brand of bullshitting and blowing things up, but I'd love something – a mission that never made it on the show in between all the dramatic plot points? Something set after the series – where they're forced to rely on each other to get out of the usual sticky situations that Section 20 run into. Or for Wyatt and Novin, maybe they drift in and out of each other's lives, never quite joining Section 20, but still keeping tabs on Coltrane and making sure that when he's in trouble, someone's saving his ass.

Despite my love of both shows, I hadn't really thought about this crossover idea - yeah, they're both action shows where people kick a lot of ass and also, the cast turnover rate is fairly high, but still, how would these two shows ever intersect? And then, one day, I was watching Strike Back, going, wait, is that Carrie/Ana on this show? Sure enough, Ivana Miličević is the Kevin Bacon of these shows and thus, I have an excuse. Also, it is canonical that Lucas Hood has a military background and sure, Section 20 is based in the U.K., but they recruit Americans and given the events of Strike Back's series finale, they're a little short on personnel. So yes, the hilarity that would come with Lucas Hood being called out to beat people up to save the world is all I need.

I mean, yeah, it's definitely going to be divergent, considering that these two shows never crossed over, but how they diverge is where things get interesting. Maybe it happened even before Banshee started – Hood's loaned out to run some missions with Section 20 and years later, the past catches up with him, either after he leaves town, or maybe when he's out looking for Job and he's reluctantly forced to ask for a favor from people who will definitely require him to repay it. Or maybe, Hood's adrift after the events of the series and stumbles into a situation that would be fatal to anyone else, but is merely a really big pain in his ass... and Coltrane knows what it's like to work with people who like him.

Hurt/Comfort
So much opportunity for this on both sides. You've got Hood, who gets beaten up and almost killed so much that they really should just reserve a hospital bed for him, and then you have Coltrane, who apparently gets to be captured at least every few episodes, just to make you worry that he's going to go the way of all Section 20 leaders (still amazed he survived to the end). So either one in danger with the other rescuing them would be great – do they know each other before they're pulling someone out of the fire, or is this a thing where it's “I don't know you or really like you, but I really hate those other guys, so I guess you're my best bet for surviving this whole mess.”

Alternately, I'd welcome a pre-canon misadventure as they begin to awake to the possibility of what they might want to mean to each other down the road.

- Post-canon intrigue; maybe Devil and Honoria's planned excursion abroad uncovers something Drake and Louisa must investigate.
- Pre-canon adventures. Historical, affectionately antagonistic teen detectives? Or Louisa's year as Victoria's lady-in-waiting finds her investigating some plot, and Drake's professional path crosses hers.
- Drake and Louisa's role in another couple's story is expanded or made central. Canon divergence in Christopher and Ellen's story, when Rattling realises Drake is on the scene?
- Gender flip or role reversal. Louisa as Royce's daughter, and Drake as Devil's third son? Or a f!Drake who wants to follow in her father's footsteps, and Royce, knowing all too well by now which are losing battles, doesn't fight her on it.

I'm picturing some manner of improbable detecting mentorship here, rendered gently comedic by the combination of their age gap, her earnestness and his probable first inclination to disapprove of her antics. Does Julia assist him with some on-the-spot detecting, against his better judgement? Or does he come to her aid with a similar matter, only to discover she's got things almost under control already? Or does she not at ALL have it under control, but they both tactfully agree to pretend he provided only very minor aid, because a girl has her dignity to consider?

Also, do with this as you will, but I've wondered if Race might not be her father. I realise we've nothing concrete to point to that conclusion, but as far as I can remember her father never rates so much as a mention in the book, whereas we know her mother was Something in Intelligence and we know Colonel Race has a demonstrated weakness for independent young women who know their own mind and don't balk at adventure. Mrs. Upjohn during the war would have more than qualified!

Whether you want to play with that angle or not (maybe he's her godfather instead?) I'd love to see Julia being sensible and holding her own in some sleuthial capacity, and Colonel Race losing the battle with his own disapproval long enough to teach her a thing or two, and be taught a thing or two in turn, once he appreciates that she has something of an aptitude for the game.

Honestly, there isn’t much I wouldn’t read about these two, except maybe a permanent break-up. I’m happy with missing scene type secret relationship stuff (maybe in the secret room), five years on, them getting involved in another mystery, just exploring where they are post-canon, them going back to the hotel for reasons, all the AUs (e.g. they managed to run away together, what if Christina didn’t die), something that explores how Alicia will adjust to a new life, what will both of them do now that they’re free? What about Julio’s family?

Or, what about her growing bond with the female protagonist (and I'm cool with Io developing romantic feelings for her) and relationships with the other companions? She seems to prefer to keep to herself, but she did ask Murasame for help in creating her weapon Dammerung. Then there's the true ending, as even though she seems to sacrifice herself for her Successor, the full ending implies she's still alive and able to travel with her companions beyond Vein, and you could show more of how she managed to create that miracle.

What about some father/daughter-bonding with Ai? How much does he tell Ai about his family, or does she ask him about her parents? Especially with Throné's past as an assassin, would she feel undeserving of romance, with Agnea convincing her otherwise? Or, maybe with Agnea's newfound fame, she's targeted by remnants of the Blacksnakes and it's up to Throné to save her? For something lighter, maybe Agnea takes to teaching Throné how to dance, leading to some romantic tension? Perhaps Throné decides to settle down in Cropdale with Agnea and Agnea is more than happy to share some of Cropdale's famous raspberries?
* Agnea Bristarni/Osvald V. Vanstein: The dancer and the fugitive scholar! More opposites-attract, and age gaps are always welcomed too. Osvald is also still grieving for his deceased wife Rita and it's clear how he's closed off his heart, so it'd also be interesting to explore how he warms up to Agnea over the course of their journey together. Because of the age difference, how hesitant would Agnea and Osvald be about acknowledging their feelings for the other? Who would muster the courage to confess first? Maybe a dangerous situation or a near-fatal injury leads to a realization of romantic feelings? After their journey, where do they go next? Does Agnea try to teach Osvald how to dance? - What if Jiang Zhan doesn't manage to kill himself. How does he deal with Ye Liuxi being in love with someone else, and with the fact that she's clearly a happier and somewhat softer version of the woman he knows. How do Chang Dong and Jiang Zhan get along?

More thoughts:

There's a lot of potential for worldbuilding in this universe. What we get to see in the show is so intriguing and I would love for someone to build on that.

The Red Tree Inns are fascinating (there's a whole chain of them, right? And they're all underground. Are they just… all conveniently named that for reasons that you have to follow the lights from one of those red trees to get there? Or is there someone in charge of the whole chain of them?

The exotic beasts sure are something. There seems to be one for every occasion, with varying levels of actual sentience. Are some of them just like people not necessarily human or human shaped? Where do the exotic beast fit into post-canon Yumen Pass?

How big is the Pass actually? What's the geography like? What's the thing with all the roosters? I adore the roosters.

I'm mostly thinking post-canon because there's so many questions left open, but something set during canon would also work.

I adore both Chang Dong and Ye Liuxi. They're such good characters. I love how Ye Liuxi learns to be a little softer, and how to care about people. And I love how that doesn't quite change the fact that she's still a little bit violent and stab happy. She's so strong, in so many senses of the word.

I love Chang Dong's journey back from the broken, traumatised man he'd become. And he's such a good person, like just genuinely good.

I adore Chang Dong's and Ye Liuxi's relationship, they are so very in love. And they communicate! Everything works out when people communicate. I just love how they are with each other. The tender moments, and the laughing together and the… everything.

If Jiang Zhan survives, there's a lot of sorting through of everyone's emotions to do again, I suspect. After all the perceived betrayal and memory loss. Because Ye Liuxi and Jiang Zhan certainly have history and Chang Dong might feel like he's intruding and Jiang Zhan would probably be jealous of Chang Dong's place in Ye Liuxi's life while also being happy for her (because above all else he loves her and wants her to be happy). It would certainly take a bit to navigate them to a relationship with all three of them, whatever form it takes. It's a good thing they communicate quite well. They'd talk about stuff, after a bit of initial miscommunication, I think.

I've been watching everything that's come out for the Truth season 2 and most of my thoughts are related to that. The three of them together are excellent. I love them. I haven't requested a romantic pairing with all three of them, but now that I've seen a little bit more of The Truth, a threesome would be absolutely lovely too.

Here's the entire youtube playlist for the Truth season 2. For further inspiration and such. Of course, there's a lot more to all three of them than just the one tv show! But it's a fun tv show in any case.

I think I'd possibly like something revolving around the backstage happenings of the Truth (season one or two). But I also wouldn't mind something entirely AU, I think. I'm not really looking for detailed research being done into their lives. What I want is the public persona they usually present to the world, in whatever setting.

Look at how close Liu Yuning and Bai Yu are sitting in the season 2 pics, the random touching. I really don't have any ideas as far as plot goes, I just like the way they seem to act around each other. There was always a lot of touching in season 2 as well.

Getting together, established relationship. Just hanging out and being friends. I just want to see them together in some form.

Random things I've learned about them that have stuck in my mind:

I know nothing of Zhou Keyu really, but he fits well with the other two in the clips I see with the three of them. I should learn more about him.

Bai Yu keeps snacking on things. Like scaring people. Is a gremlin. Eats lots of noodles. Everyone seems to like him. Does not scare easily. Likes his snacks (sunflower seeds). Why stand when you can sit, why sit when you can lie down? In the Truth everyone seems to call him Bai ge despite him not necessarily being older. Seems pretty outgoing. Does well in group settings. Friendly. But enjoys his privacy. Likes gaming?

Liu Yuning. Very tall. Does lots of livestreams. Very nice and considerate of others. Gets easily scared. Doesn't like being alone in scary places. (Give him someone to hide behind. But he's too tall to hide really.) Some people tell him he doesn't have a pretty enough face for period dramas and he always tries to make the best of his reaction to that despite how mean people are. Has a small fluffy looking dog.

In general with crossovers I'm delighted by character interactions. How do the characters from different canons react to each other? Think about each other? It doesn't necessarily matter how its even possible for characters of two very different canons to be in the same place, because the interactions themselves are far more interesting.

In contrast, the other thing I like is figuring out how the crossover will work. So basically worldbuilding around the crossover. I'm happy with stories that are basically all about how the crossover happens (portals between universes etc), explaining how characters end up in a different universe or how they were actually always in the same universe (maybe someone crash landed on an alien planet). So just explaining the crossover is the plot, more or less, or maybe the plot is just trying to get back home.

Mo Sanmei is just such a good character and I would very much like more of him. I wouldn't mind a crossover relationship if the crossover character is played by Bai Yu or Zhu Yilong (ZYLBY48 Roles Sheet lists all their roles and I'd be delighted by any of those crossovers except with any characters from the Guardian drama). But really, slice of life Mo Sanmei without any crossovers or romance would be awesome.

I love the interactions between San-ge and Xiaowen. But also the rest of the little found family.

Is Xiaowen's mom still around post-canon? How does that work with everything? From what little her mom was there I liked her, so I wouldn't mind seeing more of her, but I don't mind her not being there either.

Would San-ge be reluctant to start dating someone because it might be difficult for Xiaowen? If there does happen to be some kind of romance, how would Xiaowen feel about/act towards a boyfriend? Integrating yet another person into their little found family.

Full movie (16:25). There are no English subs. I didn't understand any of what they were saying, so if you don't understand the language you'll do about as well as me in understanding what's happening. Lin Dayu is the one who gets all tied up at one point.

A short summary though from someone who has a better grasp of what was happening:

A henchman under Biao-ge, has affair with Biao-ge's wife. But he needs money so he forms a gang with 2 others who also need money, to cheat their boss' wife's money. Another henchman, Jilao already knows of the wife's affair but didn't expose her (due to his fondness for her too?) and tries to wreck the gang's plans to extort money. (Source: ZYLBY48 Roles Google Sheet)

(Excellent source if you want a list and some information about any of the other roles either Bai Yu or Zhu Yilong have played.)

Lin Dayu is so stupid and I love him. He looks very nice all tied up though.

Does he come up with some other plan to get the money he seems to need. Does he truly feel bad for the woman he hurt? Is he now being chased by the boss?

I would definitely not mind a crossover pairing with a Zhu Yilong or Bai Yu played character from some other canon (see the aforementioned roles sheet for all his roles if that's of interest, anything from that list with the exception of Guardian would be an excellent crossover). But a solely Lin Dayu focused fic would be awesome, which is why I'm requesting him all on his own.

Xun Xu absolutely deserves the world, and canon was anything but kind to him. And I would so love to see how he moves on from everything he's had to go through. I'm mostly interested in what happens after the show, once Xun Xu goes off to establish his own spy outpost in another country, unless Xun Xu is just removed from that environment entirely (as in time travel or some AU setting). But yes, post-canon of him putting his life and himself back together, learning to live with things. A bit more broken, a bit more bitter, and still too good of a person for the profession he's in than is in any way good for him.

How does he settle into his new environment/job description? Do his injuries still affect him, and how does he deal with that? It did seem like he'd never entirely heal from what was done to him, and I'd love some exploration of that.

Romance with a crossover character played by Zhu Yilong or Bai Yu would always work for me (ZYLBY48 Roles Sheet should include a list of all the roles in question if that's of interest, any fandom from that list except for Guardian would be most okay with me). I don't mind if that character is from a modern canon and you just move him into a life where he's always lived in the past, no explanations. Also don't mind actual time travel. Or there are characters that are at least in more historic settings that would also work. But that's definitely the most optional of suggestions, I wouldn't ask for something with just Xun Xu if I wasn't extremely happy to receive that.

Rivalry slowly turning into romance! Becoming closer with every rakugo event that they meet at. Going together (on totally not dates) to rakugo events to watch other performers or maybe visiting places connected to the stories they’re working for inspiration. Would they try to help each other if either of them ran into trouble?
How would a confession look like? Would it be something open, or would one of them slip it between the lines. Would there be pushback about them dating given how traditional rakugo it? I won’t be surprised if there had already been some gay relationships the rakugo community that were an open secret, but what if Akane and Hikaru decide to come in the open about their relationship
AUs and ships
I think a setting change could be pretty fun as long as the element of rivalry stays intact. Different time periods, fantasy AUs, or such could be really interesting for them. Maybe they’re singers now, or bards. I would also be very up for a fastforward to when they’re adults and their rakugo career is in full bloom. How had relationship between them changed? Or has it stayed pretty much the same?
Please don’t ship Akane and Hikaru with anybody else.

I watched anime and read the first 3 volumes of manga.
Oliver Horn/Pete Reston
I just love how tropey “my roommate has magically changed gender and now I’m helping him keep it a secret” is. The moment I saw it I was sold. Especially, given that Oliver has plenty secrets of his own.
Also, the setting being just edgy Hogwart with swords is so good. I love how dangerous Kimberly is, and how well it captures the charm of magic with the madness of people who end up pursuing it too farm and the system that encourages them to do just that.
Oliver is teaching Pete swordfighting which is such a good opportunity for extra bodily contact with helping him adjust his stance and such. I’d love to see Pete getting distracted, while Oliver is just doing his best to be hundred percent professional teacher and try to ignore his feelings. Extra points for accidental sword-related double entendres.
I’d also love an exploraion on how much changes about their cohabitation. Pete mentions wanting to set a curtain, but is it the only change that happens? If there are other changes, what prompts them? Are some changes only applicable to when he’s a woman and get removed if he turns back to his original gender (since it’s mentioned that reversi can change between genders)? Are there situations where Oliver has to help Pete protect his secret? How does he go about it?
AUs and ships
I’d prefer no setting changes, I just really, really love the idea of Kimberly as this edgy take on Hogwart. Though as always I’d be open to canon divergences. Maybe Pete catches a hint of Oliver’s secret and tries to carefully figure out what’s going on. How would he react if he learned of his revenge? Would he try to stop Oliver?
I’m fine with mentions of Oliver’s fascination with Nanao (and Pete potentially feeling jealous of Oliver giving her attention), but I don’t want an outright love triangle

I’m fine both with the idea of Mordred becoming incarnated and joining the Express crew or Stelle summoning Mordred during Holy Grail War (or contracting her some other way). I’m fine both with using already existing Holy Grail War as a setting or creating a new one for purposes of the story. Also feel free to go as deep or as shallow with Fate lore as you want. I just want to see fun interactions between Stelle and Mordred, so I’m fine with whatever amount of worldbuilding works with you as a writer
I feel like those two would have amazing dynamic, quickly hitting it off and enabling each other. They’d also work really well as a battle duo, dishing out damage left and right. They’d be incredible Master and Servant duo or partners depending on which setting you chose. I would also love to see how they’d deal with the main thing that sets them apart—the fact that Mordred had already lived her life and made her mistakes, while Stelle is still trying to figure stuff out, not remembering her past and still being caught in other people’s schemes.
If you chose to focus on HSR setting I’m fine both with following already existing stories, or some original adventure. Maybe Stelle and Mordred decide to engage in some bounty hunting for some quick cash. Or they go sightseeing and end up wrapped into some kind of trouble.
I have some idea of pretty much all Fate series officially translated into English (I’ve only seen the OVA for Fate/Strange Fake, since I wanted to wait for anime adaptation, so if you want to use characters from it, please elaborate a bit more on who they are), but other than that I should be good for any existing Fate characters you want to use.

I’m fine with story based on either anime or manga, I’m caught up with both.
Jinguuji Tsukasa/Tachibana Hinata
Childhood friends who are practically inseparable and strongly dependent on each other? That’s already perfect, but now throw into it a crazy goddess who isekais both of them, turns one of them into a girl, throws an unspecified curse, and forces those two to confront the fact that their feelings for each other might go beyond friendship? That’s beyond perfect. That’s galaxy brain and I want more of that mishmash of tropes.
I’m all about everyday interactions and weird rpg shenanigans they get into, so you can never go wrong with leaning into it. But for something else: What if at some point one of them got returned back to their original world? How would the other cope? Would they be able to establish communication between the two worlds? How would they go about reuniting?
I would love to see them taking their relationship a step further. I crave all the awkwardness that’s going to come with those two idiots trying to figure out how to admit their feelings to each other. And the inevitable defeat of any villains who get in the way of them having a moment. Will Jinguuji and Tachibana try to go on a date with a disasterous results? Will Jinguuji desperately try to find a dating manual in another world? And will they be able to enjoy a romantic moment without “CHARMED” status ruining it?
I also love the new development in manga with Love Goddess reappearing and messing things up even more. I’d absolutely love if you delved into those new changes!

I don’t want setting changes, though I would enjoy seeing a different spin on how those two dorks get isekaied and under what circumstances they end up inflicting the wrath of Goddess of Love. Or I would love an AU where the goddess doesn’t succeed in her first killing attempt, so she keeps trying to isekai Tachibana and Jinguuji keeps foiling her plans every time (or maybe he fails at some point?). What if the curse placed by the goddess manifests in some other ridiculous ways? What if Shwartz wormed his way into the protagonists’ party and third-wheeled like only he can?

Something goes wrong on the Away Mission is a prompt applicable to all the relationships. The relationships don’t have to end happily, especially if the story is set on Aftokrator.
Hyuse/Jin Yuuichi
I love that Jin’s endearment towards Hyuse is equally proportional to Hyuse’s grudge towards him. However, at the same time they are extremely alike in their whole-hearted dedication to their respective homeplanets. Due to that any sort of romantic relationship between them would require them to compromise the values they hold dear.
Jin as Aftokrator’s prisoner of war, because the idea of a scenario opposite to what happned in the canon is really fascinating to me. How would Hyuse treat his captive? Would Jin be able to manipulate Aftokrator’s politics to his advantage through Hyuse?
For something closer to Earth, I would love to see any shenanigans connected to Hyuse having to tolerate Jin’s presence. Does he act petty in small ways? Does Jin use his foresight to sabotage Hyuse, escalating their conflict into a full out prank war? How badly do Jin’s attempt at teaching Hyuse chores or human culture go?
Jin Yuuichi/Miwa Shuuji
Their relationship is so fascinating, given how differently they chose to deal with their trauma regarding losing someone important to them to Neighbors. I’d be fine with both a look into their relationship when Miwa was still very against Neighbors or now futher into the story when he has mellowed down a bit about it.
Some sort of mission goes wrong and they end up having to work together. Or maybe something happens deepening the divide between the Border’s factions making it more difficult for Jin and Miwa to reconcile their feelings for each other with what they believe in. Or Jin gets hurt/kidnapped and Miwa has to struggle with both his feelings and how difficult it is to protect people without Jin’s support
Hyuse/Miwa Shuuji
Two idiots coming from the opposite sides of conflict, having to overcome their strong nationalistic tendencies to meet somewhere in the middle and kiss.
I love the idea of Miwa monitoring Hyuse when he sees him in the Border, because he’s an enemy. What if Jin roped Miwa into helping mantain Hyuse’s cover story. What if they bonded over their shared dislike of Jin. I’d also love a scenario where Miwa squad didn’t know that Hyuse is a Neighbor and interacted with him normally (while Hyuse was under assumption that they obviously know and are just helping maintain his cover). What if Miwa was taking part in the away mission alongside Hyuse?
AUs and ships
I don’t want any setting changes, but I would be okay with any roleswaps. What if Jin was an Aftokrator’s Neighbor and Hyuse was an actual Canadian? Or maybe Hyuse was the friendly Neighbor that Mikumo meet at the beginning of the story. It would also be fun if teams were different. Or different characters’ having different side effects. Someone being caught in a timeloop during the Aftokrator’s invansion would be extremely interesting (or other interesting point in canon).
On top of my head the only extra pairing I’d be fine with would be Ema/Chika. Please inquire about other pairings through mods, there are just too many character’s for me to remember all the ships. I’d rather the requested characters didn’t end up in an outright love traingle, but I’m fine with acknowledging them potentially having feelings

Zombie Apocalypse AU: If it's a complete setting change where the characters were never immortal, did Cassie and Dan know each other before the apocalypse? Do they meet when Cassie rescues Dan from a zombie horde? If it's set in the movieverse, can the immortals be zombified, or are they immune to the zombie plague? Would a zombie apocalypse be the thing that finally gets all the immortals off their asses and actually has them start helping people?
