I love their antagonism and I'm interested in seeing how that relationship might evolve, for the better or for worse, in post-canon or canon divergences contexts. Feel free to give a bit of background focus to gen relationships with San's wolf family and other animals in the forest, Ashitaka and the villagers of Iron Town! I'm also fine with mentions of San having some textual or subtextual feelings/attraction to Ashitaka that doesn't end up going further.

Action/Adventure: I'd love to see them connecting/growing closer through banding together to fight a common enemy like bandits, samurais or a demon god, or through supernatural events around the forest: looking for a lost spirit or animal in need of help, having to purify a corrupted spot, yokai apparitions. Post-canon sparring with Eboshi trying to get used to being one-armed would be neat too. And I'm a fan of fighting turning to making out and/or sex.

Canon divergences ideas: pre-canon with Eboshi capturing San and trying to "turn her back human"; how differently plot elements might turn out if Ashitaka doesn't show up at Iron Town; the Forest Spirit not getting its head back and the consequences of this.

Darkfic & Horror: Death/being killed by the other half of the ship leading to haunting them as a ghost. Supernatural horrors born from the forest dying. Captivity tropes: Eboshi keeping San captive in messed-up conditions; San holding Eboshi hostage to stop Irontown from destroying the forest.
I'm down for dubcon going from either direction!

Slice of Life: Getting used to a new life with less conflicts. Sharing and discovering new skills from the other's lifestyle. Eboshi showing San her garden.

I'd love any focus on the Witch world and Medusa's place in it, her relationships with its culture and history, with other witches, how her position in it might have changed with time and events from the canon. Relationship to her snake familiars, studying and developping her magical abilities. The influence of the alliance post-manga canon and how she would feel about it, if she were still alive.

Her scientist side: experiments whether fucked up or not, thirst for forbidden knowledge, manufacturing madness, relationships to other scientists & characters interested in knowledge, characters being used as experiments like Crona.

Acting undercover/her two-faced nature: whether in her role as Shibusen's nurse or in other occasions, spying, scheming, manipulative relationships, ambiguity in Medusa caring maybe a tiny little bit about others or just being a good sociopathic actress.

Canon divergences ideas: Arachne surviving without having to hide 800 years ago, Asura not being resurrected leading to Medusa winning against Stein, Crona not managing to kill Medusa like she planned and the consequences from that

For Maka/Medusa:

Obviously, you can take into account anything from above!

I love the angst coming from betrayal there. Very into the idea of Maka having a crush on kind nurse Medusa and having to readjust how she sees her after learning how she really is. Maybe Medusa taking advantage of that to manipulate her feelings. Resentment leading to violence and potential hate sex and rough sex.

Also very into "reluctantly working together" plots, thanks to the Baba Yaga Castle arc in the manga: the dilemna of how much Medusa can be trusted and the both of them trying to get what they want out of each other. The Shibusen-Witch alliance makes for a great setting for them to have to team up again post-canon! Feel free to handwave or come up with fun ways for Medusa to have survived.

Souls-related stuff: how they can work in a relationship. How Maka might use her skills in regards to Medusa, like chasing/stalking her by recognizing her soul, getting into her mind through her soul. Soul resonance in a fight where they would be teaming up.

Darkfics: Corrupting Maka through the madness or by blackmailing her through Crona. Killing each other. Ghost haunting. Dubcon/noncon: Medusa doing it for some science-related experiment or Maka as the agressor because of corruption/being under the black blood's influence.

I'd love anything in the style of the canon, with adventure, monsters for the ship to fight, dungeon exploring and some cooking and eating together, whether it's with monster ingredients or not. Worldbuilding in and out of the dungeon. Growing intimacy through life and death situations in the dungeon and the moments of peace between those in safe spots for the characters to rest.

I really like canon divergences, though I don't have specific, clear ideas for them here.

Cithis/Pattadol:

I'm interested in more of the dynamics and politics of the Canaries, how they'd clash over it or might learn to know more about each other through different contexts: during missions vs downtime at the headquarters. Focus on Pattadol's family and status, on Cithis' resentment towards the nobles and on her crimes, general worldbuilding on western elf society and romantic/sexual relationships inside it.

I like Pattadol denying to herself being attracted to Cithis and trying to resist being distracted by that, with the conflict between duty/temptation and morals/what she wants. Going from there, Cithis teasing/seducing Pattadol either for fun or to manipulate her to get something. Post-canon of how their relationship might evolve because of the changes with the dungeons would also be interesting.

I'm very open to taking a darker turn with them, like Cithis using her magical powers against Pattadol for various purposes, including dubcon and noncon. Corruption and misuse of authority/powers from Pattadol.

Izutsumi/Marcille:

I love the prickliness and care in their relationship, how different and clashing their personalities are and the way they grow closer through it in the story. A romantic and/or sexual relationship between them wouldn't be smooth sailing and might not work out long term or even short term but that's part of the appeal with them for me, I like the messiness. Izutsumi clearly doesn't share Marcille's ideas of romance so how might they deal with it if some form of attraction happens? Unresolved pining

For Izutsumi's orientation, I'm down for her having low or little to no romantic feelings or any unusual views on what she'd want in a romantic relationship. I prefer her to have some form of sexual desires but I'm there for them also being unusual or infrequent. And I'm interested in the possibility of her having heats due to her monster-cat part and how she might view them: an inconveniance/something that disturbs her because of where it comes from? or something she doesn't mind because of her "I do what I want" attitude leading to seeing no shame if she's suddendly feeling very horny.

I'd really enjoy post-canon of their relationship through the years or in the far future, showing how time impacted it. Maybe they have an on and off thing or something change between them when meeting up after a long time apart.

I love the friendship and respect they have for each other but also how it's shown to have grown from them becoming more mature after this more complicated relationship of rivalry where they didn't get each other as well in the past. It's something I'd find very interesting to dig into. And then they'd be really hot together so...

I'm into explorations of how they could have gotten together in pre-canon or canon divergences settings! Not necessarily long-term relationships, maybe a fling after a frustrating match or something of the sort. But if you're feeling like going post-canon, I'd also love them finding each other as old ladies, after their canon relationships ended in one way or another.

Dealing with being in love while still being rivals at the same time and how both those sides of them would complicate their relationship. Same for having to juggle their love life/karuta/their job.

Pining and unresolved sexual tension would also be something I'd enjoy with them. While Midori might seem like the most likely to have unrequited feelings, I think it's be interesting too to have that coming from Haruka.

Stuff I like for the fandom include: the passing of time and seasons with karuta, long-distance relationships, poetic moods, poems as flirting, admiration, rivals to lovers, long-distance relationships, the intimacy and/or eroticism of dressing someone else in a kimono, accidentally touching each other during karuta matches making the characters flustered, the passion of the characters for karuta and their other hobbies, seasonal settings with a romantic tone: Sakura/Hanabi/Momijigari, Christmas, New Year, Valentine's day/White day

Dahlia is one of my favorite villains and I love the fucked-up relationships involving her family and the messiness of the Fey and their shared backstory, their relation to channeling and the spiritual. Dahlia should be allowed to do many wrongs and by that I mean I'm up for noncon, violence and potential character death of the character shipped with her.

For Mystery/casefic style, no need for anything super complex if you don't feel like it: there could be some exposure of lies/contraditions, a character giving a "testimony" and being "cross-examined", use of a magatama to break some psyche-locks, etc. Maybe Dahlia is committing more crimes and managing/failing to escape being caught by the other half of the ship. Maybe she's the one investigating something for her benefit!

Dahlia/Iris: pre-canon settings developping more of their backstories, canon divergences of the choices they made or which were made for them or where Dahlia lives and what it means for Iris, prison-setting/visits, Iris being haunted by Dahlia's ghost, playing with their identity switching

Dahlia/Mia: cat and mouse chases, hate sex, Dahlia trying to seduce Mia while she's unaware they're related for the sick pleasure of knowing what she doesn't/Mia investigating Dahlia and being horrified once she finds the truth, Mia defending Dahlia for the sake of gathering info on her in a murder case she actually didn't take part in for once

Dahlia/Maya: canon divergence or pre case 03-01 with Dahlia getting close to Maya as a way of revenge/threatening Mia, ghost-haunting, taking advantage of Maya's body while being channeled, canon divergence of Maya getting a guilty verdict and meeting this really cute girl in prison who just so very nice and wants to help her settle in...

Dahlia/Valerie: I'm really intrigued by how their relationship might have been like, how Valerie was convinced to help in the fake-kidnapping plot, how she helped Dahlia with her new identity in the years after. Seduction, blackmail, Dahlia trying to convince her to not contact Terry/to not meet him on the bridge.

Forced proximity and having to fight together against a common enemy would be lovely.

Interested in missing scenes and canon divergences especially regarding season 2 since there were a lot of elements that could have been explored differently regarding the conflicts, team ups and worldbuilding.

Jinx/Sevika:
I love the enmity, sniping and threatening each other they have during Silco's era and am very much into taking that into a shippy direction, with them trying to one up each other through sex/teasing the possibility of it or perhaps using it as punishment with some orgasm denial for example.
Growing intimacy while in hiding together
Anything playing with shimmer and mechanics like Sevika's arm and the arcane/hextech.
Very much there for them menacing each other and also noncon going either way.

Sevika/Vi:
The pitfighter Vi angst is such a gift, I'd love to have Sevika meet her during that time. Be it for a messy hookup or a plottier team up.
I'm interested in canon divergences going with the early series plan of Vi being the one working for Silco.
Alternatively, prison-setting canon divergence with Sevika being thrown in Stillwater before Vi is released and finding out she's alive
Post-canon were they grow closer having to deal with the new state of Piltover and trying to make things work out for Zaun would be cool!

I want them gross and violent and a little bit toxic. James wants to hurt Sherlock (sexually) and wants Sherlock to want it to. I like the idea that James is so possessive he's not mad other people have hurt Sherlock because he doesn't want to see Sherlock hurt at all, but because he wants to be the one to do it and he wants Sherlock to want it too. I'd love to see pretty much anything you can come up with, especially if it's James-centric. Maybe there was a couple days between seeing Sherlock for the first time and meeting him he was just desperate to find some situation they had to cross paths. Maybe Sherlock does get to thank him for breaking him out of prison. Maybe he has to apologize a little more thoroughly in episode five. Maybe they enter a secret relationship post-season and Sherlock feels guilty for sneaking around behind Bea's back and James is completely unremorseful because Sherlock is all he cares about. I'd love to see anything set in the time between the end of the season and their final split, and how their relationship is affected by James's shifting morality and Sherlock is coping with it - in denial? Defending it because James is his friend and he can't believe he'd end up like his father? Also open to anything in the Watson era where James comes crashing back to remind Sherlock who really matters. I'd owe you my life if you wrote Reichenbach where they fake their deaths to run away together or commit suicide rather than live without each other.

Basically, I want it as toxic-fueled-by-love as you can make it. Make James sadistic and Sherlock breathtakingly masochistic. Make James an obnoxious manipulator who gaslights Sherlock into accepting worse and worse crimes, even if it means he kind of mind-breaks him and keeps him as his pet detective in their older adult years. Make them obsessive and jealous and perfectly matched by each other. Make it hurt and make them into it. You have free rein to make it as dark and violent and abusive as you want. I'm not opposed to fluff, but I think even then James especially would be just awful about how much he loves Sherlock and wants to be the only thing that matters to him.

Or just a slight divergence from canon where he is raising her and is a more involved around the DLC (does Ethan ask about him? does Rose talk about him without knowing who Ethan is? does she tell him what happened after?). Ethan lives works that are mostly focused on just them are also welcome! I like to think Rose was extremely clingy as a kid and liked to sleep on Chris's chest wrapped in his jackets.

For wintersberg, you can make it as gross and violent as you want. Would love anything set in RE8 where Ethan takes Karl's deal but bargains with himself/Chris's forces as the weapon instead of Rose, and how it might diverge from there. Does Karl come with them afterwards and their relationship develops then? An exploration of Ethan's grief and guilt over falling in love with Karl when he was part of the plot that hurt Mia and Rose would be much appreciated, especially if Rose grows up knowing what happened but not really caring because it got her her dads, and she cares very little about Mia's absence because she doesn't remember her. Alternatively, I'm very much open to noncon/stockholm/mind-break fics where after Ethan rejects Karl he's captured and kept as a pet for him to experiment on and fuck. Just no rescue or Rose death, please, you can have Karl kill Miranda and keep Rose to be raised by them!

How Dane is involved in any of this is up to you. If you'd like to have them leave the Brotherhood with Max and Thaddeus, that's great. If you'd like them to stay with the Brotherhood and join the group later, that's also great. I just really would like if Lucy is keen to meet them, poly or just friendship. I'm open to any sort of canon-style plot, especially focused on the Brotherhood gang adjusting to Lucy's kindness and optimism and them helping Lucy continue to adjust to the world. Angst is very very very welcome given how unbelievably traumatized everyone is, please don't feel the need to shy away from any mental health issues or interpersonal drama. I also quite like the idea of Dane's disability being worse than it is in canon or progressing due to overuse when it wasn't fully healed and would love to see a take on how they feel they fit into a relationship with Max (and Lucy). Lucy I'd love to see feel guilty for what happened with Shady Sands and struggle with her sense of identity. Max I'd like to see explore the trauma of losing his family and friends and the years of abuse and how he handles knowing what Hank did but being unable to do anything about it, and how his sense of self-worth is tied to helping people, and how he feels like he has no choice but to make bad decisions that hurt him.

I love them so much, they're my favorite relationship of the game. In general I just adore the idea of them being a QPR/besties who are so attached at the hip they're obnoxious. Just the absolute worst about it.

I love a good platonic soulmate AU!! You can make it as fluffy or as angsty as you want. Maybe they know they're soulmates all along and it just takes until the events of the game for Zagreus to want to accept it rather than be resigned to it (bonus angst for Hypnos feeling even more disconnected from the House because of it?). Maybe it's not until after the true ending that the bond somehow manifests or makes itself known and he's a lot happier about it than he expected to be, and Hypnos is of course thrilled. I'm also rather intrigued by the idea of Hypnos with chronic fatigue/pain/tremors/limb weakness/whatever. I don't have any real plot in mind outside he and Zagreus being obnoxious best friends who hang out a lot/are always hanging off each other/are super affectionate and how Hypnos having a disability would play into that, ex: Hypnos feels a little insecure he can't keep up physically like everyone else can and Zagreus reassures him he doesn't need to and he's actually glad for a break/chance to rest, or them napping together, or Zagreus fetching Hypnos's mobility aids or doing things to help him out when he's having a bad day. Beyond that, hear me out: platonic hanahaki. Hypnos being used to scorn from everyone, and something happens post-game that makes him think Zagreus views him the way he used to, which causes him to get sick, because he's used to it from the others, but Zagreus was supposed to be his friend. And then Zagreus has to scramble to fix it when he realizes something's wrong.

I'm open to just full out no-plot fluff!! I love a good literal-sleeping-together moment or some sort of shenanigans. Just make them silly and affectionate and have fun! I'm truly happy with anything focused on how much they love each other.

They are absolutely everything to me. I think they're so sweet and you can see how utterly in love they are and Cassian being so distraught at Bix leaving him tears me up almost as much as thinking about her learning he died. I'm certain he would have gone right back to her and refused to leave her side again if he'd lived. I wonder constantly about their early history and the time we don't see the show.

For this though I would really like something more upbeat. I would adore any kind of fic where Cassian survives Rogue One and goes to find her! I'd love that reunion and him meeting their child. If you want to go an earlier route, like I said I think a lot about the times we didn't see them. What were they getting up to offscreen? I'd love Bix to get a mission of her own or for one of them to be hurt and need the other to take care of them. Or when they were younger and newly in love. Really just up to you!

I'm also amused by the idea of Bix and Kleya being unlikely friends, especially post-canon when they have a second to breathe and bond over their losses and trauma. And K2 has to be there, of course. I’m equally good with something messy and dysfunctional or a more hopeful and romantic take (Langdon cheating on his wife is fine for the purpose of this prompt, though you are also more than welcome to break them up first before Langdon gets involved with someone else).
For something a little more “out there”: When I first watched that big fight between Robby and Dana, where Dana tells Robby that “our children disappoint us sometimes,” my first thought was “Huh, okay, so maybe Langdon has actually always been Dana’s true favorite, and Whitaker is really Robby’s favorite,” and then my AO3-addled brain immediately took that thought and whispered: Someone should write an AU where Whitaker and Langdon are brothers who got split up when Robby and Dana divorced, or cousins in a universe where Robby and Dana are estranged siblings ... and also they fuck. So yeah, if that thought appeals to you at all, feel free to go all White Lotus on them. Let them have messy hook-ups or fall in love. Bonus if some or all of them are also still healthcare workers.

Brandon Li/Dennis Whitaker: This ship is one of those glorious “Take a 5-minute interaction and run with it” obsessions for me. I already loved Brandon as a character, because he is such a sweet, optimistic dude who offers such an interesting contrast to Robby as far as “biker mindsets” are concerned, but the moment he winked at Whitaker and said “Don’t worry, Doc, I won’t fall,” my thoughts came to a screeching halt and all I could think was “Oh, you are going to fall alright, baby. You are going to fall for him.” So yeah, I would love to find out what happens when Brandon comes back to the ER – maybe he didn't heed Whitaker’s advice, worsened his fracture, needs surgery, and Whitaker gets to tell him very gently "I told you so"? Maybe he’s actually recovering fine but decides he wants to take Whitaker for a ride to thank him for his care? Maybe he keeps showing up in the ER with random obscure injuries or ailments, always asking specifically for Whitaker, until someone tells Dennis to put the poor man out of his misery and go out with him before he does real damage to himself? Really open to anything here, so go wild.

Hashibira Inosuke/Kamado Tanjirou: I love them so much together! I love how soft Inosuke is for Tanjiro and how indulgent Tanjiro is of Inosuke and his quirks. I love how protective they are of each other, and how in synch and well-matched in a fight, even though their styles are so different. I want to read about how they discover their feelings for each other and figure out how to express them, I want them to save each other’s lives and sit at each other’s bedside, I want them to ravish each other, I want them to figure out how to build a future together.
For more specific prompts: I kind of love the idea of Inosuke abruptly returning to the forest to live with the boars (maybe he has partial amnesia caused by blood demon art? maybe he makes that choice after facing some kind of rejection or defeat? anything is fine here really) and Tanjiro sets out to find him and bring him back.
I am also very partial to the Entertainment District Arc, because the whole crossdressing scenario was extremely iddy to me, so if you want to do more with that, or come up with some other plot device that leads to one or both of them in drag again, I’m all for that.

Himejima Gyoumei/Tokitou Muichirou: Their arc in Infinity Castle hit me like a wrecking ball full of shippy thoughts, and I have yet to recover from that. And yes, the height difference and the age gap are highly relevant to my interests. But I also just love the potential for a deeper connection in their interactions. Gyomei and Muichiro always struck me as quite isolated among the Hashira, both because they always kind of seem to live in a world of their own, and because they radiate such a profound loneliness. I would love to see them find some comfort and company in each other. Gyomei thrives when he can take care of people, and Muichiro really needs someone to care for him; on the flipside, Muichiro, who is often so detached and aloof, is so warm and sweet with the people he cherishes, and maybe Gyomei would also benefit from someone taking care of him for a change?
I also would love a fix-it with regard to the Infinity Castle events – feel free to play fast and loose with canon to make sure they both survive that fight. Injuries (permanent or not) are perfectly fine – something set post-battle, where they spend time together while recovering or one cares for the other, would be lovely!

I've always been into the whole dynamic of pairing the young male hero with his older antagonist, who also has secret reasons for his evil master plans and also possibly really respects the hell out of his opponent. And while I know SAO has a whole bunch of canon to fanon ships that appeal to different iddy needs, Kirito/Heathcliff is what got me because wow, does that hit the sweet spot there. It didn't hurt that he kept saving him even after “death” by pulling a deus ex machina at least twice, and really, nothing says love like giving someone your admin privileges.

Prompts:

Kayaba doesn't destroy his body and goes on the lam because of all those potential charges. He's still stalking Kirito though, which is very fortunate considering Sugou is still up to no good (and if you want to, feel free to come up with your own version of Fairy Dance that doesn't involve creepy sexual stuff with Asuna).

What if Kirito and Kayaba knew each other before the whole series began – development of SAO? Meet-up in another game? Kirito's traumatic past runs headlong into Kayaba's own isolation and a weird bond is created. How would that impact the series?

Hurt/comfort would be nice! Maybe Kirito is the one that ends up getting stuck in ALO instead. He eventually gets rescued but not before terrible things happen to him (you can pile on the trauma here). Now he's recovering with his former enemy helping him along. Or, during SAO, Kirito gets in over his head because he'll just get his loved ones killed and he needs to go it alone and seriously, Kirito, MMOs were made for balanced team composition. Meanwhile, Kayaba is nursing him back to health and wondering if he should just keep him prisoner... for reasons.

Most of all, I just really love the idea of neither one of them being able to completely change the other - Yashiro will probably always be a sociopath and Satoru can't stop trying to save people.

Yashiro isn't been stupid enough to try and murder a kid in the hospital that everyone knew he was connected to and as a result, Satoru's plan fails. Now, it's a cat and mouse game between the two as Satoru continues to try to prove that Yashiro's a killer - and Yashiro's torn between murder and some strange feeling that might be... love? Or Satoru never regains his memories and Yashiro plays the doting former teacher, trying to figure out if he's faking since he wants to know exactly how Satoru knew his future.

Yeah, anything where Yashiro captures Satoru is A+ in my book. Does he take Satoru before the coma? During? After the rooftop? There are just so many delicious possibilities for creepy caretaking and threats against other people. Honestly, Yashiro is trying his best. He can't help it if his wooing skills are terrible and also involve a lot of "Don't you ever leave me."

Some sort of Bluebeard/gothic type story, because really, Yashiro would definitely be the type of asshole who would tell someone, “Look, you can go anywhere in the house, just stay out of this room. Let me repeat, STAY OUT OF THIS VERY SECRET AND FORBIDDEN ROOM OF MYSTERIES.” Naturally, Satoru doesn't, but let's say this one doesn't end with people getting their heads chopped off.

I started getting nostalgic for these two once again, because they were one of the first anime I ever watched (blame AMVs and Sarah McLachlan's Possession for that one) and just how screwed-up their relationship was. For those not familiar, Takaya is just your average vaguely delinquent high school student who suddenly has to contend with spirits being summoned, people trying to murder him, and a handsome older man in a suit, Naoe, who calls him Kagetora and says he's a possessor who's been fighting the Underworld for centuries. But you know, it's fine, Naoe's protective and supportive and definitely not someone with an obsessive relationship with Kagetora that now finally might have the upper hand on his “master” who's currently a very confused teenager that's realizing all sorts of complicated feelings for him.

One of the reasons I love the anime is that it's very open ended so I'd love something that works off the ending where Naoe just sort of walks away while Takaya's wearing his jacket because that was just a killer ending image and also probably as hopeful as this series was going to get. And you know, as much as I adore the suffering and misery of these two, I also kind of would love for them to have something nice that doesn't end in tears – maybe Takaya getting a good day out with Naoe where both of them are able to enjoy themselves or some hurt/comfort where they're actually able to both take some time to breathe and rest up?

Canon divergence is also fun here, like what if Takaya was found by another faction before he regained his memories and now Naoe's got to not only carefully extract him from something that's likely to get them all killed, but also convince Takya that they're on the same side. Or Naoe's the one without memories and Takaya has to basically do what's against his own nature and be patient and reasonable in order to get him back into the fold. (Heck, what if they both don't remember and it's just two people drawn to each other, with Naoe resisting the urge to fuck a teenager while Takaya's all about bad ideas, and then they remember and oh, shit...)

Just when I think the series can't possibly give me any more of what I love – namely, badass fights, fine tailoring, and loyalty kink like you wouldn't believe, John Wick turns around and goes, oh, I'm sorry, did you think you were finished with me? Like seriously, these movies are just filled with all the kinds of things I adore, especially the bond between John and Winston. I just have always had a thing for mentor/protégé ships, especially when it involves classy suits, fine dining, and murder. There's just something about the way Winston and John interact that always made me want more - more tailoring, more teaching, more of the two of them just sitting and talking and ending up in a far too intimate relationship that everyone realizes is a terrible idea, but hey, that's what this series is made of.

I'm all about age swap or role reversal here. I'm just really picturing Winston as an upstart manager of the Continental who's known for two things: exceptionally talented at his job and John Wick's protege, who's never forgiven John for leaving him and this world behind to go and get married. Now John's back, seeking revenge and Winston's torn between the world he's finally made his mark in and the man who taught him all that he knows...

AU fun where John and Winston meet in different worlds! Of course, they'd fit right into a noir or space setting – all you need is a good club and a hunted man with a shadowy past and you're good as gold, but I'm also fascinated with the idea of them in a supernatural setting where Winston's got a reason for binding himself to the Continental and John's not called the Baba Yaga just because it's a fun nickname.

For such an action-packed series, there are a lot of quiet moments here and there, sadness sprinkled throughout the gunfire and bloodshed that make it hit a lot harder than it would if it was constant fighting. Maybe a post-canon fix-it where they finally get a chance to breathe and mourn all that they've lost, or maybe something set early in canon where they both realize that however their relationship started, it's gotten far past what they thought it would be.

Whether you view it as jilted ex-lover or just brokenhearted best friend, it's pretty clear Cosmo's torn between being furious at Martin for his perceived abandonment and his desire to work with him again as partners. There are so many points where his plans would have worked so much better if he had just killed Martin and yet he can't even pull the trigger at the end when he's got him dead to rights. (Okay, yeah, he did tell that guy to kill his friend, but I have to believe he knew Martin would get out of it because he knows him.) I'd really like something set in the present to post-movie part – their backstory is tragic and sets up the conflict well, but I like them as older men, having to deal with perceived betrayals, double crosses, and nebulous plans.

Prompts:

Maybe Martin was the one that ended up in prison and Cosmo's the one on the outside until the government comes knocking at Martin's cell door and says, hey, your ex is doing nefarious things (that aren't for our benefit), so we'll let you out if you work for us. Of course, it all turns out to be a long con on Cosmo's part since you know, he really does miss Marty and he sort of owes it to him to get him out by any means necessary, whether he approves of it or not. Or maybe Martin didn't really get out of the end heist unscathed (Cosmo really did shoot him on the roof) and Cosmo took advantage of that, since it's only fair that if Martin ruin his plans, he might as well ruin Martin's plans.

Canonically, it seems the movie leaves a couple of big plot points dangling at the end - Cosmo's still out there with the Mafia and Martin and the gang are kind of being public with their hacking. What happens when people do the math and Martin has to go on the run from multiple people with Cosmo, who may or may not also be on the run? Are there double crosses, plans within plans, and people making cryptic and grandiose pronouncements to each other? Oh, so many.

So the movie is already vaguely speculative in its technology – what if we pushed that further? I feel like Sneakers is just the precursor to all those delightful cyberpunk narratives, what with the partner that returns to exact revenge, the team with its varying degrees of complementary skills, even the nebulous piece of technology that really shouldn't fall into anyone's hands because no one can be trusted with its power. Also, if it involves space ships, I wouldn't say no.

The thing that made me really love this show was the scene between Arthur Pym and Verna. Just the way they connected, the quiet nature of it after so much Grand Guignol and gore. There's a line in a Vulture article about “a look of melancholic ecstasy” as Pym recognizes perhaps the only person who understands him. Coupled with Verna's own respect, perhaps even mournfulness, for a man who's done terrible things and knows the exact cost of it all and I just wanted hours of the two of them, sitting and talking. Alas, 'twas not meant to be, but I cherish what I got. I've gotten a couple of great stories, but I'd always love more of their relationship and their mutual recognition of each other as worthy opponents that understand far more than the ones making the deal. There's so much hinted at – the first meeting they had on the expedition has always fascinated me because what did they see in each other (cosmic horror in the ice is a terrific trope), but also what happens after their final meeting? There's so much we don't really know about Pym or Verna, and I'd love to explore more possible encounters they may have had.

It just strikes me as a canon that would do amazing as a noir – the fixer for the morally unscrupulous boss that's sent to silence some supposed blackmailing femme fatale, only to discover she's more than a match for him. The time during the expedition is ripe for all sorts of “Weird Stories” potential, so if you have one of those you like, I'd love to see an interpretation as well! Or hey, if you want to do some sort of “stranded at a science outpost during a blizzard,” I'd be down for that as well. I'd love something that really leans into all the best parts of this – the paranoia, the isolation, the fear that there's something out there not quite human and it knows way more than you do about how to survive.

I'm also intrigued by the concept of a universe where things go differently and Pym does take the deal. What would motivate him to do so and what kind of collateral or payment would Verna ask from a man who has nothing to give? (I also have this weird AU idea where Lenore turns out to be related to him, not the Ushers and Pym cuts a deal for her sake.)

I definitely fell in love with Chesterton's works a long time ago, particularly his Father Brown stories, and while I always loved Flambeau in the stories, I never really felt the need to ship the two of them together, despite all the slashy overtones. And then I watched the series... and kept watching... and specifically rewatched the Flambeau episodes and I was hooked. It's so clear in the show that Father Brown is just as invested in Flambeau as he is in him, and it's so much fun to just see Father Brown breaking the law just so Flambeau won't get caught, while Flambeau in return just can't stay away from the good priest, especially if he needs help. The ending of the latest episode with the two of them truly had me going, “okay, so you're both willing to give up everything to save the other one” and I can just soak that kind of thing up all day.

So I am fully caught up with the series, which means I am definitely into Flambeau using his thieving talents to steal shit back for the Vatican. Of course, he ropes Father Brown into it at one point, or maybe Father Brown gets entangled into it all on his own (as he is wont to do) and before you know it, artifacts are getting stolen (again), people are having to save each other (again), and the police really should just sit this one out and let the professionals handle it. Or you know, there's always murder. Can't go wrong with that! Could be one of those country house set-ups where there's locked rooms and people climbing out of windows (let's face it, Flambeau), or getting snowed in at some posh hotel, or maybe a murder on a train because those are always fun. I got a really terrific story for this, but I'd adore even more hijinks for the two of them!

I'm also very intrigued by this idea that someone floated online where the roles are reversed – Flambeau as the priest, likely cynical and jaded from what he's seen in the war, who's constantly having a crisis of faith even as he ministers to his flock. Things only get more complicated when a thief announces his desire to steal a religious artifact, and Flambeau can't decide what's the most irritating – the fact that the local constabulary believe he must be involved because of his mysterious past, the village practically falling in love with the “Robin Hood” thief overnight, or that the thief seems hell-bent on restoring Flambeau's faith in God, even if he has to steal half a church to do it...

Also, I love horror of all sorts and I could definitely see a spooky take here. Britain is just rife with spooky old mansions out on the moors if my knowledge of old horror movies is to be believed. It would be fun to see something where Flambeau and Father Brown are invited to a crumbling old manse, replete with dark secrets, and they must rely on each other to try to survive the horrors within. Or possibly something along the lines of M.R. James or E.F. Benson – hey, if you want to even adapt one of their stories into the Father Brown universe, I'd be all for it! Maybe Flambeau runs afoul of a sorcerer and needs to get rid of a rune, or Father Brown stumbles across a strange manuscript and is haunted by a menacing figure. Just something where it's all nice and cozy, until you see something out of the corner of your eye...

I have never been very good at this game, mind you, but that has never stopped me from adoring how it's played and these two play it so very splendidly.

DNWs:DNWs: Animal harm, extreme underage (16+ fine), scat/watersports, focus on unrequested pairings involving nominated characters (mentions of past canon relationships are fine), permanent nominated character death (transformations/resurrections are fine). Also, as far as Borgov's canonical marriage, I lean towards divorce/separation/never happened, but if you choose to go the infidelity route, I'd prefer something that treats it as just something that can happen in this type of life and world.

Post-defection road trip fun! And by fun, I mean it could be something where they're on the run, staying in dingy safehouses and maybe people are injured and look, huddling for warmth is a fine and noble trope and I love it to pieces. Perhaps they can't trust either one of their governments to do the right thing and they're trying to figure out who to turn to when everyone wants to use them in some way or another. Just think of that lovely Cold War paranoia, espionage everywhere, and the ending's likely to be bittersweet.

More canon divergence? Maybe Borgov's family dies and he flees his country and he has nowhere left to go and Beth is like, oh, you're damaged and broken and want to make terrible choices? Then she temples their fingers together and it's all downhill from there. Or Borgov defects early on in his career, winds up in the U.S. where he ends up teaching Beth and while she's brilliant at chess, she's not that great when it comes to boundaries, especially when it's someone who finally gets what she's truly passionate about.

Also, while I definitely love the canonical setting of the show, I'm also fine with AUs here. Maybe it's some futuristic form of chess out in space where the pawns are ships or even planets, rather than pieces on a board (think galactic strategists that respect each other even as they know their respective governments are at war). Or vampires. Games played out over decades instead of days, as black and white give way to a river of red and in the end, chess is in the blood.

I've gotten a few great stories for this, but I'm always up for fic where Junho's fall from the cliff just means he falls into Inho's clutches, which is both the best and worst thing that could have happened to him. Maybe Inho didn't plan it – he seems pretty upset about possibly killing his brother at the end – but now that he has him, he's not going to take no for an answer again. (And oh look, I was correct that Season 2 was going to dash my iddy hopes of captive!Junho,..)

So now that Inho seems to be super into getting Gihun to do something—break down completely? Realize the futility of fighting the system? Become the new Frontman and get a snazzy mask?--I'd love to see more of him just fucking with Gihun. Maybe he stages it so they're both prisoners and he miraculously survived, but oh no, he has a guard “force” them to fuck each other. Or maybe he uses his Front Man guise to just utterly destroy him some more before he releases him (in more ways than one).

Setting changes would be great here as well – how about the Games in a cyberpunk setting or something out of Altered Carbon, where people can augment or straight out change their bodies at will and you're never quite sure who or what you're dealing with. Or noir, where everyone's out to double cross each other and even when you think you've won, you really haven't. And you can't go wrong with spies and assassins – Junho as the rookie agent looking for his mysteriously disappeared brother? Gihun who survived a failed mission and is out to bring down the ones who left them all to die? And Inho, whose motives and allegiances are never quite clear...

Vampires. You win the game, you become a vampire, in a totally not obvious metaphor for capitalism, and everyone would appreciate the metaphor more if if wasn't for the immense blood loss.

I really love this continuation of the Death Note series so much – it uses the idea of Light and L and twists it into something awesome. What if L's successor had a shinigami and Death Note of his own (that he never used)? What if the police detective that was secretly Kira all along (and had amnesia) decided, no, the previous me was completely wrong and I should atone for all of that. What if we had these two working together and they were beautiful and smart and I love them so much? So yes, I would love some stories with the two of them together – using their brains to track down Death Notes while being both deeply suspicious of and wanting to trust each other.

Prompts:

Ryuzaki doesn't die at the end, but Mishima still ends up getting imprisoned. Maybe he convinces the authorities that Mishima's expertise is desperately needed to track down the remaining Death Notes and they agree as long as Ryuzaki supervises. Now there's angst because Ryuzaki knows Mishima would have killed him given the chance, while Mishima wonders if that's true because the thought of doing that is tearing him up inside. (Meanwhile, Ryuk's just laughing at it all.)

Something where they're on the run together at the end would be fine too. Again, this presupposes that Ryuzaki doesn't die from the Death Note, but I am a consistent person in wanting him to live. Anyhow, Mishima can't figure out why Ryuzaki hasn't turned him in – and Ryuzaki doesn't know either. And throughout it all, the Death Note is in their possession, a Chekhov's gun just waiting to go off and kill not just one, but countless lives.

L and Light also survive (hand wave this however you want) and take proteges in Ryuzaki and Mishima. Or maybe time travel where they show up in the future? Either way, they're deeply disturbed to realize a: their successors are boning and b:they could have been doing that the whole time, while their successors are surprised because that's what they figured they had to do if they wanted to truly wear the title.

I would honestly love to see something from before the start of canon, either the Old Border or just a year or two before, when most of the A-rankers had already arrived. Or Aftokrator-AUs, where some of them are from the Neighbourhood, but from a non-antagonistic world. Or an Away Mission gone wrong and now they have to get back to the away ship/gate/etc. while cut away from everything and everyone they know. Having to pretend to be in a relationship/married/master & servant/entertainers to sneak past the Neighbours because Jin can see anything else won't work.
Or, another favourite of mine, life outside of Border for Border agents -- how's school/uni when you're a not-so-secret badass agent who fights aliens? Some agents are obviously more famous than others, some probably enjoy the fame while others very much do not.
Anything with Jin is great--either with the included pairings, but don't feel limited to these. Some of my favourites include (and also, both romantic or platonic for practically all of them):
- Amou: we know so little about him, but most of the time (ok, twice out of three times we've seen him iirc?) he was talking with Jin; they appear to be friends, just because they're (were) both S-rank, or due to their eye-powers (lol). How does he feel about being such a terrifying fighter?
- Jin/Shinoda: Does tachikawa know about it? How big a tantrum did he throw when he found out/was told? Who feels bad about it and who doesn't?
- Kido: sort of a bad guy but actually not really, a bit antagonistic but only for the greater good. How does he see Jin? As a (failed) successor, or something else? Proud but also angry/disappointed that Tamakoma persists with its idiotic mission despite what such friendliness has cost them? What does Fuujin mean to him and having it in Jin's hands?
- Tachikawa: I love enemies to lovers (including antagonistic rivals to lovers!), but also Tachikawa being a dumbass about everything but his relationship with Jin (maybe he learned through trial and error how to be a good bf)

Jin-unrelated relationships:
- Kako & Ninomiya: They were teammates, but now they're frenemies (?). Maybe they meet in the (currently started) big battle... Their opposing team-building strategies are interesting to see; how do they interact outside of Border? Uni, friends they might have in common?
- Ninomiya & Tachikawa: Similar deal; how are they outside of Border and with people they know in common? Tachikawa is A1, and I don't doubt Ninomiya Squad has the same aspirations. Also, Ninomiya thinks Tachikawa (and also Kako, and also many other people) is an idiot. A bit of a superior complex, typical arrogance? Or is he hiding something?
- Was Shinoda Mogami's peer or a bit younger and is their relationship slightly more like Kido-Shinoda's? Anyway, how did they deal in the Old Border with suddenly having kids to take care of? Or how did they even meet and come together in the first place? How does Shinoda now look at Mogami's legacy and his own role in Border?
- Sawamura & Azuma: pair of 25-year olds. Apparently both up for the assistant director position, but with Sawamura the one who got it because Azuma thought she'd be better suited to defend/protect the HQ? Anyway, I'd love to see them as friends (or even occasional lovers, either before Sawamura's crush on Shinoda started or maybe while she's suffering from afar) and how they feel being 2 to 10 years older than all the others. Do they go out drinking together? Drag Fuyushima with them? How are their lives outside Border? Azuma is still a grad student, but what about Sawamura? Are her parents pressuring her to marry, given that she's 25 and still single (apparently that's super old in Japan?)

Specifics:
- In a way, the Cat is the pinnacle of (one branch of) evolution -- I am sure Wesker would be absolutely fascinated by it and also completely repulsed by its behaviour. There would definitely be murder attempts miraculously survived by the (beautifully dressed) top predator also known as the Cat, and probably much frustration and eventual conspiracy-thinking on Wesker's part.
- Jadzia has a worm in her. O'Neill hates worms -- some (alright, many) for a very good reason, but not all of them are actually bad! The fact that Jadzia is a beautiful and super smart scientist probably doesn't help with whatever internal issues he has going on.
- For Yuuma and Alphonse, I was imagining something mid-series for FMA, when Al is still trapped in the armour. On one hand, Yuuma's situation is much better, because he is so much closer to a 'real' boy, but he's also very much aware of his impending death, so not ideal. Neither of them are able to sleep or tell the truth to people, including some of their friends.
- In my eyes, Zapp Brannigan is a (Less? He's not in charge of the whole galaxy. More? He keeps falling upwards! successful) version of Zaphod Beeblebrox, and I can't decide if they would kill each other on sight or offer autographs. Whichever universe they end up in would obviously suffer tremendously.

I'm always open to SFF AUs (even more sff than it already is, in this case)!

What I'm (most) looking relationship-wise for is Ed being really, really into Mustang (unrequited), who either:
1) doesn't realise it because he's not looking for such signs from his young, male subordinate. Various shenanigans as Ed very unsubtly tries to hit on Mustang (half the time not even realising himself what he's doing), before somebody else finally alerts Mustang to what's happening, and Mustang subsequently finds himself very concerned as to what sort of signals he's been inadvertently giving out (none, Ed is just 15 and horny), maybe even gets himself a temporary partner who's the opposite of Ed in practically every way (older, taller, dark haired, not an alchemist...) just to discourage the kid;
OR
2) has figured it out and is flattered but now trying to figure out how to let Ed down (gently) without destroying their working relationship; when Ed hears about this (through Al? Accidental comment by Havoc?) he absolutely doubles-down in his (poorly thought out--he's a genius about many things, but romance isn't one of them); a series of shenanigans follow with Ed trying to engineer alone-time with just the two of them and more romance-book-inspired meetings/'dates' (oh no, how are we ever going to escape from this deep hole that is forcing us to be so close to each other that we have to touch!! What do you mean I could alchemy our way out? Oh no, we have to huddle for warmth! No, don't use your flames to lit up a fire, that's not allowed, we have to cuddle!!). Mustang is despairing; is there a How To Let Your Underage Subordinate Down In A Way That Won't Make Him Try To Destroy A Building for Dummies?
In both cases I see Ed as confident in himself and the typical headstrong, even arrogant teenager with a very good heart--but who doesn't quit until he gets what he wants, and Mustang being very adept at manipulating him... Up to a point.
Now, unrequited would suit me just fine, but implying (or even with a flash-forward/epilogue) that maybe in the future when Ed grows up some more (mostly patience and maturity-wise), he could try again and this time Mustang might let himself be convinced would also be nice.

An alternate take I'd also be very happy with is something opposite, where Mustang is the one pursuing Ed after the Promised Day, but Ed has decided there's so many other things (people) he wants to do first, or is still coming to terms with other things, or is just unsure of himself and full of angst and guilt, leading into a hot-cold type relationship, with Mustang approaching Ed over and over--because it's clear that Ed doesn't actually want him to stay away--until he finally decides to give up. Suddenly Ed does know what he wants (Mustang) and it's up to him now to win the man over.
This could definitely lead to a happy ending for everybody involved, but a different take--where it's too late and they don't get back together--would also be amazing.

He'll definitely give Aloy a very skewed perception of what life was like in his time, flirt with absolutely everybody, and maybe even have a good idea or two how to help Aloy and he group with whatever problem they're dealing with. Maybe Aloy is the one who's all excited about him at the start while nobody else trusts him, and is then a little less enthusiastic when he fails to answer all her questions, but that's when he manages to charm the others.
And then for Travis, what does he think about the new world he's helped to create? A lot of hatred towards Faro, his weird crush on Liz now transferred to Aloy (or not), opinions on Aloy's existence in the first place...
I'd love something humorous but still dealing with the many many challenges (and questions) such a meeting would bring.

Third Doctor/Alistair: I think they're very sweet! The Doctor clearly learns to respect the Brigadier in time, and as exasperated as the Brigadier can be with him, he can also be so fond of the Doctor. One of my favourite moments for them is when the Brigadier scolds his scientist for doubting the Doctor's plan, saying of course it's going to work if the Doctor said so, and then turning to the Doctor to ask if it's really going to work. Also, when the Doctor took him to that show with the comic and dancers and the psychic, that had such a date night vibe!

Second Doctor/Jamie: I just love the Second Doctor's and Jamie's relationship so much! I'm here for a romantic relationship or a queerplatonic relationship (or even an undefined, important relationship). Also, I love when Jamie tries to show off as this big strong Highlander who is afraid of no man and that ends up backfiring (think not managing to open the Cybermen tomb, or insisting that he won't be cold in the Himalayas and then complaining of the cold). Bonus points for the Doctor playing his recorder, especially if he's kidnapped/trapped somewhere.

I'm a sucker for characters who have mutual respect but conflicting priorities, and these relationships fit that bill perfectly! I'd love to see any interaction with them pre-canon--when was the first time they met? What conflicts did they have before the events of The Thief? Alternatively, how did they build the degree of friendship we see in Eddis and the Magus by the time we get to King of Attolia, and Eddis and Attolia at the end of Conspiracy of Kings? How did the Minister of War's support for his niece play out, and how did they cement her reign together? What was their perspective on personal and political events throughout the books?

Re: shipping--if you want to include ships alongside those requested, I like all the canon relationships as well as the ones I've tagged. I headcanon Eddis/politics/the magus in the books, where politics get firmly in the way because both of them have bigger things at stake.

Canon divergence or something set in the future would also be loads of fun for this fandom. The Minister of War does somehow become Eddis instead of his neice? Political alliances through an Eddis/Attolia marriage? Eddis does wind up marrying Sounis the Elder early in the books, and the fallout of all that (perhaps with mutual Eddis/Magus pining)? The three countries somehow manage to keep the peace in Queen of Attolia--how do they do it, what do they each gain, and what do they each give up?

Seriously anything with the requested characters interacting, either all at once, in the specific combinations requested, or the sort of complicated "Eddis talks to Attolia, who talks to the magus, who talks to..." progression Eddis jokes about in CoK. I'd adore something political (epistolary fic pre-series, with the three of them dancing around one another? Negotiations before any of the royal weddings? Dealing with the Mede post-CoK?), or maybe, for something more personal or humorous, they take advantage of an unexpected quiet moment between crises to complain about Eugenides.

For Eddis/the Magus, again, I'd love anything with a strong sense of politics, or epistolary fic; or something set during his captivity, perhaps? Clearly a lot happened there that we never got to see. Sharing myths, plotting for the future of their countries, wry and repressed longing or clandestine meetings, any of it.

For comics--worldbuilding through art is <3, seriously--anything you want to incorporate with clothing or maps or crafts or architecture or geography etc.!

Would love rivalry turning to collegiality (or something warmer), epistolary/correspondence fic (perhaps through chess articles?) or found media, or political maneuvering to which Beth may or may not pay any attention.

Regardless of whether you're writing a Borgov request, I'm so interested in the possibilities for Beth's future career. What does her training for the world championships look like? How does she hold up under that kind of sustained pressure, and what kind of support network does she build? How does she deal with defeat (since nobody goes undefeated in competitions that long)? If you want to look farther down the road, what kind of legacy does she leave?

If you have any interest in the social and political history of chess during the Cold War or the more technical aspects of chess, please let your geek flag fly. I will be there with bells on.

For comics in this fandom, I’d love the sort of focus on clothing and setting that we got in the series (the shots of the hotels were amazing, I loved so many of Beth’s styles, and then you get beautifully-lit scenes like that one in the basement in the final episode, with Beth in black under stark lighting, lit up like a Caravaggio). Alternatively, chess motifs! All the chess motifs, or interesting chess sets, or depictions of gameplay.

I don't have specific prompts for these, but hopefully my general likes will apply! They all seem like fertile ground for intrigue, worldbuilding, or complicated character dynamics. Have fun picking a setting you're interested in--I love historicals and secondary worlds and creative magic systems.

One specific note on the court soothsayer--I'm fine with a fantasy scenario where it's actually possible to foresee the future, or a scenario where there's a traditional belief in that possibility and part of the soothsayer's job description is keeping the court convinced they can do it.

My letter is from an old exchange, but it contains general likes and dislikes for both art and fic that apply to most fandoms, including OW. You can also find my old requests for this fandom here.

These books are such comfort reads for me! I'd adore intrigue and spy shenanigans, mysteries and missions and military action, and travel. Canon divergence is always a win for me, especially if it really digs into the changes that would result from the initial divergence--for example, what if Tharkay took the cure to the French before Laurence could, and Laurence had to live with not committing treason? Or something set post-series would be great--maybe a new adventure interrupts their life on Tharkay's estate. Would love something plotty or otherwise dealing with some sort of external conflict alongside any getting-together elements for them.

Tharkay/Laurence is just wonderful in the depth of trust that develops on both sides, and the way they grow to understand one another despite being so different (and Tharkay continuing to be enigmatic). I love the idea that Tharkay carried a bemused torch around the world, though I prefer him to be more resigned than angsty about it!

Other relationships I like, if you're looking for other elements to add: Laurence/Roland (I wouldn't consider them in an exclusive relationship in the post-Empire of Ivory period where they're pretty clearly separated, for infidelity DNW purposes) and post-affair, very affectionate and occasionally exasperated Laurence & Roland; Roland & Tharkay, whose off-page interactions must have been fascinating; and, of course, Laurence & Temeraire, OTP of OTPs for this series.

I find Kane Double and the question of how human versus how alien he is, both mentally and physically, to be really fascinating, and I'll be happy with any fic which explores that, either pre-canon or after the Shimmer gets destroyed. If you want to lean into the alien side of things, have fun getting weird with it. For ships involving the original Kane, I love how weirdly sweet Kane's line of, "Ever seen a phosphorous grenade go off? It's kinda bright. Shield your eyes," is in contrast to Lena immediately fighting and killing her double.

Khonshu powers the magic tablet in the Night at the Museum movies, and that is so very different than what he does with his Fist of Vengeance that both sides should have some complicated feelings about it and maybe yell at Khonshu about it. Or maybe Khonshu wants Marc to borrow the tablet for the purposes of fighting some evil that can't be dealt with the usual way but Steven keeps getting distracted by the chance to talk with an actual ancient Egyptian pharaoh. Or, if you want to get angsty, maybe the tablet needs to be destroyed because reasons, so Khonshu brings in Marc and Steven to talk to Ahkmenrah about their time in the Duat and Field of Reeds to help him finally move on after being held between life and death for thousands of years.

Evy Carnahan O'Connell/Rick O'Connell & Layla El-Faouly/Steven Grant/Marc Spector:
I'll admit that I nominated this one because I had that mental image of Marc showing up in his mummy armor and Rick immediately shooting him just on principle and it made me laugh enough to want 5k words about how or why they would end up in that situation and what the aftermath might be. I also remember seeing a comparison of The Mummy and Moon Knight which said Layla was like a gender swapped Rick and Steven was like a gender swapped Evy, and that has lived in my head rent free ever since. I just want to see all these people team up to nerd out over Egyptology and fight gods, the undead, or other monsters.

Layla El-Faouly/Steven Grant/Marc Spector & Martha McKay/Francis Munch:
I imagine Layla/Steven/Marc and Martha/Francis would vibe fairly well together once both sides got past their respective "Are these weirdos bad guys that we need to neutralize?" assessments. They could meet each other while both hitting the same target, or maybe one side needs to deliberately seek out the other for assistance with something, or maybe they run into each other while doing mundane life stuff and have a mutual "oh shit" moment because Marc and Francis knew each other back when they were mercenaries and/or because suddenly magical dinosaurs are attacking the area because that's how the world works these days.

Peter Grant & Steven Grant:
Two magical London nerdboys who are morally on the same side but technically on opposite sides of the law! Is it a recipe for friendship, misunderstandings, monster fights, characters lying their asses off to maintain their secrets, or all of the above? Also, I imagine Steven would be thrilled to try learning Newtonian magic while Marc and Jake facepalm over this new way to potentially mess up their brain more than it already is.

Victor Frankenstein & Frankenstein's Creature & John Marlott:
It would be fun to see Marlott signing on to be Victor's assistant to make sure he doesn't start killing anyone to get his materials like the last time someone was assembling people out of corpse parts and then falling into being a sympathetic and positive figure in the Creature's new life because clearly Victor isn't doing that job. From the other side of things, what would be Victor's reaction be to discovering exactly what Marlott is and realizing that someone beat Victor to his goal more than a decade ago?

I got into this fandom recently enough that I'm still in the "Give me anything!" phase. Post-canon adventures and/or shenanigans of any kind for any of the nominated ships! Backstory for Marc/Layla! Give me the funniest or weirdest possible way for Layla, Marc, and Steven to figure out what's going on with Jake, or just skip ahead to when he's already a known quantity trying to make things work with Marc and Steven. Pick a mythological being and have your ship of choice fight it or make friends with it. Or throw your ship of choice into the Moon Knight (TV) version of the House of Shadows. Or pick a point of divergence and show me what wild new direction the plot can veer away from how things happened in canon. Or give me an Outsider POV of some character not in the know getting all the wrong ideas about what's going on with your ship of choice.

I prefer for Layla to keep her avatar powers and Steven and Marc to eventually get theirs back or at least imply that Khonshu is still willing to give them back if they ask at some point in the future rather than them definitely being gone forever. Also, I've only seen a little bit of other parts of the MCU. I know some of the broad strokes from osmosis, but references to smaller details from other shows or movies will likely be lost on me.
