2025 Signups Open!
Signups are open here! Go forth and request fanworks! They will close on 11 May.
As you do, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the rules and the FAQ. Please let us know if they need any clarification. You can comment here or shoot us an email if you have any questions.
In the meantime, there's still some tagset cleanup in progress--please double-check all your tags, and see if I have questions about your nominations here.
I have cleared all existing nominations and reopened the tagset. You may nominate an additional 3 fandoms with 4 relationships for each fandom, but I'd ask that you please only do so for tags that you are planning to offer or request.
Please note that this year I am allowing you to repeat fandoms in multiple requests and offers, but you must still have at least 3 unique fandoms in your requests and 4 unique offers. AO3 doesn't support those exact requirements, so it's up to you to make sure you have enough unique fandoms. I'll be checking regularly and getting in touch with anyone who needs to add fandoms, but at the point that signups close, you'll have a limited time to fix the problem, so please make sure you only submit your signup once it meets the minimum!
There are more details at the FAQ, but here are the basics:
You’ll request between 3 and 10 fandoms, with between 1 and 20 characters or relationships and between 3 and 20 genre tags per fandom. Fandoms can be repeated between different requests if you want to request comics for certain relationships and fic for others, but you must request at least 3 unique fandoms.
You’ll offer between 4 and 10 fandoms, with between 1 and 20 characters or relationships and 3 and 20 genre tags per fandom. Fandoms can be repeated between different offers, but you must request at least 4 unique fandoms.
Medium (fic or comics) is in the Characters field.
Characters and relationships will both be in the Relationships field, and you’ll receive a gift focused on any one of the items you select in that field.
If you'd like a gift about Character A, select Character: Character A in this field. If you'd like a gift about either Character A or Character B, select Character: Character A, then select Character: Character B.
If you'd like a gift about Character A and Character B in a romantic or sexual relationship, select Character A/Character B. If you'd like a gift about Character A and Character B in a gen relationship, select Character A & Character B.
You'll be matched to a recipient who requested at least one of your offered fandoms, at least one of your mediums, and at least one of the offered characters or relationships in that fandom. However, you can choose to create a gift in any one of your recipient’s requested fandoms, focused on any one of the items (character or relationship) they requested for that fandom, even if you didn’t offer it.
The genres in the Additional Tags are intended to give a general sense of what kind of gift you’d like to make or receive for a given fandom. We’re going to attempt to assign offers and requests that share a genre. If that results in too many initial pinch hits, AO3’s matching code will still prioritize matches by genre. These aren't required parts of your assignment and aren't intended to be the same as detailed freeform matching in other exchanges, just to provide a general indication of tastes along with whatever you put in your optional details.
Here is the list of Additional Tags available for genres.
Here is the full tag set. You can also view tags and signup information on the app.
