* Io: A sweet, mysterious girl with a giant halberd - yep, she's definitely my favorite character in this canon. There's a lot you can do with her; you could write something pre-canon, focusing on the years she spent searching for her missing Successor while evading the dangerous Lost. Or, what about her growing bond with the female protagonist (and I'm cool with Io developing romantic feelings for her) and relationships with the other companions? She seems to prefer to keep to herself, but she did ask Murasame for help in creating her weapon Dammerung. Then there's the true ending, as even though she seems to sacrifice herself for her Successor, the full ending implies she's still alive and able to travel with her companions beyond Vein, and you could show more of how she managed to create that miracle.

* Taiyou Akari: Akari is my favorite character in this canon, and I loved her optimism and strength. How is she adjusting to travel? Which other Elemental Tarot users does she meet? How go the battles with Daemonia? What if she or one of her friends got injured or sick? How often does she get peaceful moments with her friends? When and how does she reveal she's half-Daemonia? Does she struggle with that part of her identity? If you want to write romance, I ship Akari with Luna, Seira, and/or Ginka, and just how would romance develop while they're always fighting Daemonia? What would the future hold for any such romantic relationship?

* Ai Astin: Ai is naïve and strong, curious and optimistic. What interesting new locations does she visit with her companions after freeing Ostia? What of her dream to save the world? How do her relationships with Alice and Dee change? Maybe some father/daughter-bonding with Julie, or bonding more with Scar over their gravekeeper duties? I'm not too interested in pre-canon works about her, as what I love most is her journey with her new friends. For romance, I ship Ai/Dee, and it would be interesting to see how she comes to realize her romantic feelings. Would Ai realize her feelings first, or would Dee be the kind to go for the "tease and flirt" approach?
* Dee Ensy Stratmitos: The ghostly witch of the west - how did she became known as Whisper? How did she first realize she could compel others? Did she ever try to find her parents? How much guilt does she feel about nearly trapping her companions in Ostia forever? How do Ai and Alice try to reach out to her afterwards? What kind of relationship would she have with the adults Julie and Scar? As stated above, I ship Ai/Dee, and also Julie/Dee if you want some age difference, Julie/Dee. Either relationship may involve some kind of guilt and angst, but for different reasons, and it would be interesting to see how Dee would handle feelings of love by the end of canon.
* Julie Sakuma Dmitriyevich: Being the father-figure of the group, how does Julie care for the others? How does he feel about having a family again? He's the oldest of the group, so how does he see the world as compared to the others? For backstory, there's his life with his wife and daughter (and Julie was quite young when his daughter was born), or you could explore his grief after their deaths. I definitely ship him with Scar as they bond over Celica together, and also Julie/Dee as suggested above. He's already been married once, so would he worry about compared Scar to his deceased wife, or how would the age difference between him and Dee affect any such relationship?
For Julie/Scar and Julie/Dee in particular, smut is also fine with me.

Or are they immediately thrust into aradama-hunting missions again? What kind of aradama do they encounter? What if one of them was seriously injured during a mission? Or, for something more mundane, if one of them simply fell ill instead? For some role reversal, maybe it's Kanami's turn to take care of Mai? Or maybe they manage to steal a few romantic moments alone together? Would sparring lead to a burst of sexual tension?
* Itomi Sayaka/Yanase Mai: With Mai training new Toji and Sayaka part of the new elite guard, how do they find time to be alone together? Are they able to take missions together? What if Sayaka was seriously injured during one such mission? How would Mai care for her? Or maybe Mai is injured instead? During peaceful moments, what would their first time be like? Who would make the first move? Or maybe it's a more spontaneous thing, with them caught up in the moment of surviving a particularly brutal battle? How does Mai help Sayaka recover from the aradama experiments? What if those experiments were still being conducted in secret?

* Arnice/Lilysse: A tale of love and loyalty between a half-demon and a human! What happens after their reunion in the True Ending? How does Lilysse deal with the sudden return of her memories? Or what of Arnice's inexperience with the powers of the Nightlord? Do they try to live a quiet life free of the Curia? Do they ever think of getting married? As the decades pass, how do they feel about the fact that Arnice, as a demon, will outlive Lilysse? You could also go for something mid-canon, focusing on the dangers of Arnice's missions while Lilysse worries about her. Or, after the events of the second game, when do Arnice and Christophorus find Lilysse? Do they note the parallels of their relationship with the tragic love story of Alstromeria and Moon Queen Malvasia?
* Aluche Anatoria/Liliana Selphin: More love stories between half-demons and human women! How does Aluche adjust to her new demon powers, especially as she might fear hurting Liliana or their friends? How does Liliana handle the pain of keeping secret the fact that she's using her powers to stall Malvasia's Eternal Night? Before the final battle with Malvasia, do Aluche and Liliana take the opportunity to come together as lovers? When they seal themselves away with Malvasia, is that something like an eternal dream? What if Arnice is able to rescue them from that confinement? Will they be able to reunite with their friends from Hotel Eterna, or will they find that centuries have passed since their sacrifice?
