Welcome to Fandom 5K nominations, 2019 edition!
Nominations are open over here. We do not have any restrictions on what can be nominated in terms of fandom size, type, and so forth, and we also allow crossovers and original fandoms to be nominated. Please nominate crossover relationships into the Crossover Fandoms tag, and original characters and relationships into the Original Work tag.
In terms of how to nominate characters versus relationships, please follow the format below:
We are not familiar with every fandom, so we will be taking guidance from you as to how your fandoms work in terms of fandom tags, etc. Please watch this space for queries!

In terms of how to nominate characters versus relationships, please follow the format below:
- "Character A (fandom)" - this means that you are nominating Character A on their own. AO3 may suggest a tag to you - please do not use it for nominations and instead nominate as above. Save your mods and help prevent tag migration!
- "Group: Character A/Character B" - this means that you are nominating Character A/Character B in a ship, inside their own fandom.
- "Group: Character A & Character B" - this means that you are nominating Character A and Character B in a gen configuration, inside their own fandom.
- "Group: Character A (Fandom)/Character B (Fandom)" - this means that you are nominating Character A/Character B shipfic, and that it is a crossover. Please be specific about fandoms, especially if there are a lot of adaptations featuring Character A and/or Character B.

Is it okay to nominate specific titles or should I nominate by publisher and try to disambiguate specific versions of the characters as necessary?

I don't write for any of the shows, though, so I'm not sure I can speak to which logic should probably be used there. Maybe those considerations should take into account what kind of relationships are going to be used? For instance, if the only relationships that are going to be nominated for the Netflix shows are exclusive to those shows it might be best to keep them separate, but if relationships are going to include movie characters they'd need to go under the umbrella.

But yeah, I'm waiting on the mods to weigh in before I nominate.

Sorry about the confusion!

Female Plant Mage whose feelings make things grow/female water mage who helps water plants
Female Witch Hermit/Dashing Female Outlaw She Helps Hide
Female Witch who comes home as different animals/her increasingly (affectionately) exasperated wife
Pirate Queen/nerdy female stoway who is good at writing smut
The last one also should be 'stowaway'.
As amended:
Group: Female Plant Mage whose feelings make things grow/female water mage who helps water plants
Group: Female Witch Hermit/Dashing Female Outlaw She Helps Hide
Group: Female Witch who comes home as different animals/her increasingly (affectionately) exasperated wife
Group: Pirate Queen/nerdy female stowaway who is good at writing smut

I've nominated quite a few DCU ships where the pairing appears across multiple titles so to tie them to a particular book would be very limiting and cause confusion; for example, should Bruce Wayne/Clark Kent be nominated under Batman (comics) or Superman (comics)? Sticking to the umbrella fandom makes it much easier to search for requests; I know I would overlook a request for Midnighter/Apollo if it were listed under Midnighter and Apollo (comics) because I would be expecting to see it under DCU (comics).

Thank you for that, and for also putting what the tag should be as well; that makes it much easier for us!

The historical characters (all except one) stay in their respective times in the games and live and die there. Now I have been thinking of requesting Modern AUs with them, where they are reincarnated/simply born later. If I do that, though, I'd still want them to be, well, modern Templars and Assassins, not modern coffee shop employees, as the tag suggests. Is Modern AU the right genre for that still, or would that be, idk, Canon Divergence maybe?

Group: Jonathan Simms/Elias Bouchard
Group: Jonathan Simms/Elias Bouchard/Martin Blackwood
Jonathan Simms (The Magnus Archives)
It should be Jonathan Sims. For the character tag, it's also already approved with the correct spelling.
There's also a duplicate for a ship tag.
Group: Martin Blackwood/Peter Lukas
Group: Martin Blackwood (The Magnus Archives)/Peter Lukas (The Magnus Archives)

In this particular case, I'd say definitely not Canon Divergence, which means something that happens in the original setting with a change to canon events (such as a character not dying, or a character making a different plot-changing decision). Re: Modern AU--if Modern AU is something you're generally interested in, I'd go ahead and request it! Otherwise, I would choose genres that generally reflect your tastes, even if they don't match your individual prompts perfectly.

My nomination of "DC's Arrowverse" was automatically changed to "Arrow (TV 2012)" when I submitted it.
