Nominations Closed with Lingering Questions

Nominations are closed, and the tagset is almost complete! We have a few lingering questions at the bottom of this post. When these are answered, signups can begin. If we don't have them answered by 11:59 PM EDT on Saturday the 28th, we'll reject or adjust those tags as appropriate. Here is a countdown.

In the meantime, please have a look at the tagset for the fandoms you're interested in, 

Finally, now's a great time to review our process prior to signing up. We've clarified a few things in the rules this year, and a quick look through the FAQ is never a bad idea.

Open questions (please include a link to your nomination in the reply):

1. Star Trek: Alternate Original Series (Movies) - We are unable to find a Joanna McCoy in the Alternate Original Series. Can the nominator please provide a link?
2. Stargate - We have a nomination for Stargate Atlantis and Stargate - AMT. Do the nominators want these merged together?
3. The Legend of Zelda & Related Fandoms - this is far too broad. Please reply with a more specific fandom for your nomination

Hiii! Nominator for Stargate - AMT here - I usually do it that way since the series overlap with each other in terms of time period and characters, and I didn't see a separate Stargate Atlantis when I'd nominated. Sorry if this was confusing!

Can't speak for the other nominator(s) but I'd personally be down with a merge to AMT - I think it'd probably be easiest for you guys to merge them, but am not a mod. To keep them separate might amount to renaming the AMT and I don't know how easy that is to do.

If the other nominator appears with a strong preference for individual series nominations, am I right in thinking all your tags are SG-1 except for Teyla/Todd the Wraith, which is SGA?

Exactly so! That's the one SGA in a sea of otherwise SG-1s. If it's all the same to you guys, and separating them out isn't a problem, I'm cool with that too. :D Thanks!

I'm not the nominator, but there's a couple potential issues in the Scum Villain pairings due to two characters having the same name. Just "Shen Qingqiu" usually means "Shen Qingqiu | Shen Yuan" (which is how he's nominated in other pairings in this tagset), but there's also the other Shen Qingqiu (who is in the tagset both as "Original Shen Qingqiu(Shen Jiu)" and "Original Shen Qingqiu | Shen Jiu"). It could probably be left as is and both sides would hopefully be on the same page as to exactly which Shen Qingqiu was meant due to fandom norms, but if you want to edit for clarity this is how I would change it:


Group: Liu Qingge/Shen Qingqiu (Scum Villain)

Should probably be edited to be

Group: Liu Qingge/Shen Qingqiu | Shen Yuan (Scum Villain)

(The other version of Shen Qingqiu is also nominated separately in this pairing so no risk there)


And

Group: Luo Binghe/Shen Qingqiu (Scum Villain)
Group: Luo Binghe/Shen Qingqiu | Shen Yuan (Scum Villain)

Is probably a double (in which case the Shen Yuan version should be kept).

Thank you! I have gone with the assumption that the second pair is not a duplicate and have clarified the ambiguous "Shen Qingqiu" in each pair of relationships to the opposite of the one that was already unambiguous. If that makes sense--this is making my head spin. :)

Let us know if the changes look incorrect.

Sorry to be bringing this up so late, but I notice “Daenerys Targaryen (ASOIAF)” appears to be under both book fandom “A Song of Ice and Fire” and the show fandom “Game of Thrones.” There is already a show-specific Daenerys Targaryen tag in the tagset. Maybe the one with the ASOIAF tag was synned to both fandoms and wandered when nominated for the book?

Signups are already open, but no one has requested that tag in either fandom yet, so hopefully it might help to know.

It might be too late to fix it, but I just noticed that both Shiro/Keith and Keith/Shiro are listed under Voltron: Legendary Defender.
