First, we're happy to announce all our pinch hits are claimed! Our new story reveals date is 9 July. If anything changes, we will update you as soon as it does. Thank you to all our pinch hitters!

Second, it's not always possible for recipients to read their gifts shortly after the archive opens, particularly when dates have changed this much. If you will be away from your keyboard for an extended period after 9 July and want to let your writer know there may be a delay in your reply, you can leave a comment here with your AO3 name.

Hope it's okay to ask here. Just to check if the collection might open early if all assignments come in before the 9th? Or will it stay at that date?

Hi! We will not open early--we'll be opening on the 9th unless there is a delay in the final pinch hits, in which case we'll post about any updated opening delays.

Is that midnight July 9th (as it turns from the 8th to the 9th) or is that 11:59 on the 9th (about to become the 10th)?

All our deadlines are 11:59 PM on the day of the deadline, so in this case, it's 11:59 PM EDT on the 9th (just about to become the 10th).
