2025 Nominations Clarification Post 3

Thanks to all who have replied to nominations queries or alerted me to errors in the tagset! I'm hoping to resolve a few more items before signups open later today--the more we can fix now, the easier signups will be. Please let me know if you see any other problems.

I will be clearing nominations at the start of signups, then reopening them to allow everyone to nominate an additional 3 fandoms with 4 characters or relationships during signups. I'll make a note of any unapproved nominations with unresolved queries at that time and will add the tags myself once the nominators reply to those queries.

Speaking of which!

Two new items:

• Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Original Series (Movies): Apologies, I approved without noticing this potential duplicate! Are these distinct fandoms? My understanding is the movies are in continuity with the show and they are often combined, but if it makes sense to leave them separate, I'm happy to do so.
• Warhammer 40.000 and Warhammer 40k (Novels) - Various Authors: if you nominated one of these fandoms, please check the tagset to confirm your chosen tags are in the correct fandom. There were some oddities with disambiguation and wandering relationships, and I think I've resolved them correctly, but please let me know if they're wrong.

House of the Dragon (TV):

• For Aegon Targaryen/Aemond "One-Eye" Targaryen (HotD) and Aegon Targaryen/Aemond "One-Eye" Targaryen/Helaena Targaryen (HotD), is this specifically Aegon II Targaryen and not Aegon III? If I don't hear otherwise, I will assume you mean Aegon II.
• Character: Cannibal the Wild Dragon (HotD): Can someone confirm that Cannibal has appeared in the show?

Hunger Games Series - All Media Types:

• We already have nominations for the book trilogy and for Sunrise on the Reaping as their own fandoms. Can you please specify whether you're looking for the books or the films?

Marvel Cinematic Universe, WandaVision:

• We have nominations for Wanda/Vision under both MCU and WandaVision, as well as Agatha Harkness & Wanda Maximoff under the MCU I've heard from the person who nominated Wanda/Vision under the show and is fine with combining it into the MCU. Can the Wanda/Agatha nominator let me know if they have a strong preference for keeping the fandoms separate?

not the nominator but Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Original Series (Movies) are very different! Star Trek: The Original Series is the original TV series with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy while the movies are Star Trek: The Original Series (Movies) with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto and a reboot.

Hi, thanks for commenting! I thought the Pine & Quinto reboot was usually called Star Trek: Alternate Original Series (Movies) (which is also nominated) and not Star Trek: The Original Series (Movies) (nominated separately)--do I have that wrong? If so, what does the AOS refer to? This is a franchise I'm only casually familiar with, so appreciate the help.

You are correct. The Pine & Quinto are normally referred to as the AOS.

The distinction in the tags of TOS is purely a practical matter of 'these actors changed their interpretations' but would easily be disregarded in this exchange. Not the original nominator, but definitely one of the original users who argued for the two tags due to tonal shifts.
