We are still accepting nominations! They will close at 11:59 PM EDT on Thursday, 22 March. What time is that for me?

We are now at 370+ fandoms with 1,722 characters/relationships nominated. Last year there were 407 fandoms with 1,982 characters/relationships nominated as at signups, so we're tracking along much like we did last year.

There are some outstanding queries and some new ones - please look over them, provide a link to your nominations, and help the mod team out with approving your fandoms!

• Critical Role - please nominate into either Critical Role (Tal'Dorei Campaign) and Critical Role (Wildemount Campaign).
• DC Comics and Marvel Comics - should we go by title or by publisher?
• Dangan Ronpa - please nominate into Dangan Ronpa (Hope's Peak Arc) or Dangan Ronpa (V3 Arc)
• A Song of Ice and Fire and Related Fandoms - could the nominator please clarify whether they mean the books or tv show?
• DC & DCEU - Could the nominator(s) confirm whether "Group: Diana (DCU)/Okoye (MCU)" and "Group: Okoye (MCU)/Diana (Wonder Woman)" refer to the same version of Diana?
• Thunderbirds - do you mean a specific series?
• Lord of the Rings All Media Types - the books are already nominated, did you mean the books or the movies?
• Chronicles of Narnia - All Media Types - We think you mean the books. Are you able to confirm?
• No Fandom - We think this is meant to be "Crossover Fandom". Please nominate under that fandom if our assumption is correct.
• W.I.T.C.H - please nominate characters or relationships.

We are still listening to you about, if we do include a Horror genre tag, how to define the existing Darkfic tag to exclude horror.

Darkfic can encompass dark themes. Horror can not only involve dark themes, but Horror is written with terrifying the reader as the primary goal. Sleepy Hollow (movie), Supernatural, Halloween are Horror. The Vampire Diaries, Shadowhunters, The X-Files are Darkfic. I think Darkfic and Horror are different enough to warrant two tags. Just my two cents :)

I nominated Group: Diana (DCU)/Okoye (MCU). I meant the Diana in Wonder Woman (2017). I'm happy to make it Diana (Wonder Woman (2017))/Okoye (MCU), if that's what the other nominator prefers. I was intending to ask for that in my optional details anyways (I haven't seen any of the broader DCU).

Thanks for checking in! I think the confusion is that the DCU fandom refers to the DC comics universe, whereas DCEU is used for the DC Extended Universe and includes the films. To confirm, you were thinking of the film version of Diana for both your nominations?

Oh, what a silly mistake for me to make! Sorry! I'm not into any other DC things and just assumed the umbrella mirrored MCU. I should've checked. Yes, I was thinking of the film version of Diana for both my nominations.

Not silly at all--it's very confusing, especially with the way MCU is named. :) Since the DC Extended Universe tags have specified Diana (Wonder Woman), we'll go with that in crossovers as well.

My $0.02 -- I think Darkfic and Horror can be listed separately without needing any extra effort to disambiguate them. A story could be in the horror genre without necessarily being classified as darkfic -- the Martian story "Who Reaps a Human Harvest in Alien Fields" comes to mind as one example.

Not a misspelling, but under Babylon 5 "Group: Susan Ivanova/Talia Winters" and "Group: Talia Winters/Susan Ivanova" are effectively the same tag as far as I can tell?
