Nominations will remain open for another 24 hours, at which point they'll close for a bit for cleanup before signups open. I do plan to reopen the tagset for some additional nominations during signups--more on that later--but I would recommend getting as many of your nominations in before signups as possible!

For now, this is the first noms clarification post. Please leave a comment if you see any errors, duplicates, misspellings, etc. in the tagset. If you're commenting about your own nominations, please include a link to your nominations page.

General points:

• Please only nominate crossover relationships in the Crossover Fandom fandom. Crossovers nominated under a single fandom will be rejected. I have a number of crossovers with The Gorge currently unapproved for this reason--if these are yours, please note that they will be rejected, and move them to the correct fandom.
• If you have a gender preference for characters in Original Works, please make certain you clearly specify the gender of the character(s) in your nomination. If a tag is ambiguous as to gender, I will interpret that as creator's choice--that is, requestors may not use DNWs to restrict the gender of an original character.

House of the Dragon (TV):

• For Aegon Targaryen/Aemond "One-Eye" Targaryen (HotD) and Aegon Targaryen/Aemond "One-Eye" Targaryen/Helaena Targaryen (HotD), is this specifically Aegon II Targaryen and not Aegon III?
• Character: Cannibal the Wild Dragon (HotD): Can someone confirm that Cannibal has appeared in the show?

Marvel Cinematic Universe & The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (TV):

• We have MCU nominations for James "Bucky" Barnes/John Walker (MCU) and James "Bucky" Barnes/Sam Wilson (MCU) as well as FatWS nominations for James "Bucky" Barnes/Sam Wilson. I'd like to fold the show into the MCU--any concerns?

Original Work:

• Character named Jake/Character named Bradley - I try not to be too prescriptive about OW nominations, but I don't think character names without any descriptions are enough for this fandom! Can you explain what you're going for here?
• Human Weapon/Female Master He's Devoted to (OW) and Human Weapon/Master She's Devoted to (OW) - is the second tag specifically for a male master?

Hunger Games Series - All Media Types:

• We already have nominations for the book trilogy and for Sunrise on the Reaping as their own fandoms. Can you please specify whether you're looking for the books or the films?

Wiedźmin | The Witcher - All Media Types:

• Due to the differences between the different media types, please specify whether you're looking for the books, the games, or the TV show.

I'm sorry it's taking longer than usual for approvals--I'm running solo this year as CBMod takes a well-earned break, and I've also been encountering frequent errors with the nominations page. These errors have meant some manual cleanup. Genre Tags

Fandom 5K does not match on specific tropes, but we do use genre tags to do the following things:

• Try to prioritize matching between participants whose tastes are broadly compatible
• Provide some additional detail for authors who match to a request without prompts or a letter

With that in mind, we want to keep the genre tags at a high level and make them as simple as possible. Please let us know if they need any clarification!

So far, the only thing that has changed from last year is that we changed AU - SciFi/Fantasy Elements to SciFi/Fantasy. This can be used if you're interested in (for example) Harry Potter fic with an emphasis on magic, or Yuuri!!! on Ice aboard a spaceship, or an original work about the first lesbian president of an alchemist's society.

We've also been asked to add a Horror tag and are still considering that change. We agree not all Darkfic is Horror, but Horror fic could probably all be categorized as Darkfic. Can you suggest a way to rename these so Horror isn't a subset of Darkfic?
